As well as finish grinding on metal parts and assemblies to match the requirements called out on the blueprint. PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE: This is an entry level position; however testing will be conducted to determine conformance to required aptitude level. Prior manufacturing experience and a high school diploma or GED is preferred but not required combined with a strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Perform machining system startups and shutdowns per written work instructions on a daily basis. Perform machining operations according to written procedures. Maintain control charts per written instructions on a daily basis. Perform necessary inspection using basic gaging equipment according to documented work instructions. Monitor performance of the operations using statistical process control methods, identifying and eliminating factors causing non-conformance in the operation. Maintain clean and organized work area and perform general plant clean-up as required. Ensure KANBAN and inventory system accuracy and success. Adhere to ISO and TS procedures and standards as well as documented work instructions to ensure zero defective parts are shipped to customer. Operate, troubleshoot, and make adjustments to machining equipment as the need arises Perform minor repair and maintenance to machining equipment per maintenance and operating manuals, or as necessary and perform T.P.M. requirements per written instructions Operate Point of Use wash systems as required. .Ensure proper material flow by adhering to Hilite Production System requirements Perform other related responsibilities as may be assigned or required. WORKING CONDITIONS: General production environment. Requires mostly standing and walking. Minimal fine handling and finger manipulation. The greatest hazard is noise pollution, everyone is required to wear hearing protection and safety glasses upon entering the floor. The chance of coming in contact with oils or other fluids is probable as they are used plant wide.
