Participate in ISO program audits to improve execution and ensure compliance to SI and Regulatory standards

Job Description
AZZ has an exciting 2nd shift opportunity for a production worker at our Houston facility. Reporting to the Operations Manager you will help handle and clean material through the galvanizing process, to help us meet customer commitments.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for tying or assisting with tying material onto racks with wire or chain for safe movement through the galvanizing process.
Use wire to tie material to bow racks, universal racks, or other tooling to prepare for the pickling tanks using specific training methods for the galvanizing process.
Use rope to lift and prepare material for the pickling tanks using specific training methods for galvanizing process.
Operates and visually inspects all equipment (i.e. forklifts, cranes, tooling, etc.) prior to usage to ensure no maintenance is needed.
Learns to rack a variety of materials by assisting others.
Racks, unracks or cleans material in order as directed.
May learn to use a torch to dry materials before hot dipping.
May clean material using a grinder, file, or brush as specified by the customer.
Inspects material for sags, runs, drips, bare spots and reports it to management.
Uses bolt cutters to remove wire from product and tooling and disposes of it per established procedures.
Learns to inspect materials for holes, smothered spots, etc.
Perform housekeeping activities to keep production area and equipment clean and organized.
Confers with supervisors to report material conditions that could result in production or customer problems by form of damage or quality issues.
May assist with training new production helpers as specified by management.
Required to wear protective equipment, follow safety rules and all company policies and procedures
Qualifications
1+ years of manufacturing experience preferred
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled facility
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Tolerances are very strict and involve a demand for squareness, concentricity, and parallelism.

Identify and segregate any nonconforming product and notify supervisor for determining further actions.

trucks following the customized check lists; report any item noticed out of compliance from OSHA and company regulations.
Dispose scrap, broken pallets, lubricants and other chemicals timely, using allotted containers/dumpsters as indicated by HMT procedures.
Sort, set in order and clean tools, shadow boards, machinery, floors, cabinets, transportation carts, etc. in compliance with 5S program and the weekly tasks schedule.
Other tasks as required by HMT management.
Qualifications Required:

Responsible for: Preparation of testing blanks to be used for mechanical testing of forgings for the aerospace industry. Safely cutting nickel-based steels and titanium using abrasive saws and band saws. MAIN DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Reading and interpreting drawings and blueprints to remove testing blanks from correct location of test rings.
• Ensuring traceability of all pieces and material is maintained at all times.
• Operation of multiple saws simultaneously.
• Operation of over-head and jib cranes.
• Familiar with measuring equipment/gauges such as micrometers, pi-tapes, calipers.
BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:
• 1-2 years of manufacturing experience with large bandsaws or abrasive saws.
• Strong analytical, arithmetic, problem solving, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
• Experience with blueprints/drawings, dimensions, and measurement devices such as micrometers and scales.
• Familiarity cutting with nickel and steel.
• Very fast paced work ethic essential.
• Good numerical skills, able to read and interpret gauges.
• Good team player able to take direction.
• Team player with an excellent attitude and motivational skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical, arithmetic, problem solving, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
• Capable of making sound decisions.

SHIFT INFORMATION:
• 2nd Shift (operators to train on days until we are confident, they can run safely and productively on their shift)
• 2 pm - 10 pm (if working 8 hours)
• 2 pm - 12:30 am (if working 10 hours)
• 2 pm - 2:30 am (if working 12 hours)
• Weekday and weekend OT may be requested

Purpose
Performs hydrostatic and drift test on seamless pipe in a safe and efficient manner following Work Instructions and Procedures while complying with Tenaris Quality standards.
Main Activities
- Must operate overhead crane
- Executes change over and set up of the machine using overhead crane.
- Performs Hydrotesting and Drifting machine operation.
- Verifies coolant levels, test time, and pressure meets work order specifications.
- Performs LOTO, preventitive maintenance (PM Day), and does daily operative maintenance (coolant level, machine adjustments, seals, etc.).
- Updates information in the tracking systems and records the obtained results.
- Performs housekeeping of own workstation and Finishing line if needed.
