1. Analyze and interpret schematic diagrams, blueprints, test procedures and sample data, troubleshoot down to component level, record test results and data, compare findings with specifications to ensure product conformity to design standards.
2. Repair or rework products/components using advanced electrical-mechanical assembly and soldering methods.
3. Collect, calculate and document test data and results to verify final results adhering to functional specifications.
4. A part of New Product Introduction Team (NPI) to comprehend product requirements, take a part in prototype assembly and troubleshooting directly under engineering instruction, and facilitate in product transition to Production.
5. Identify and communicate issues related to production quality, efficiency and effectiveness, coordinate with cross-department teams to finalize resolutions and participate in implementations.
6. Assist Sr. Production Technician to accomplish system level repair/rework tasks or assembly, including reliable SMT component or microchip replacement as needed.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Experience Required : Minimum 3 years of direct working experience in a fast-paced, high-mix and low-volume electronic manufacturing environment.
Education Required : Minimum requirement: Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or Technology, Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or relevant field is preferred.
Skills/Competencies : Organizational skills; Communication and Interpersonal skills; Self-motivated with results-driven approaches; comprehension of electric circuit boards, microprocessors, and computer hardware and software applications; Time Management and Problem-solving skills; capability of operating various test equipment and tools.
Work Environment : Production Floor
Physical Demands : Ability to operate production and office equipment, sit, stand, bend, reach and on occasion lift a maximum of 40 lbs.

We are currently seeking a Production Test Technician who will perform standard refurbishment and testing processes on a variety of Parata products. The technician will work with other members of the Parata manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve refurbishment and testing problems, roadblocks, or equipment malfunctions to ensure that the product is able to be delivered to the client on-time and in good working condition. Strong problem solving and technical skills, adaptability, and a willingness to work in a collaborative team environment are skills that will support a high level of success in this position.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret schematics, analysis, and data.

Set up test equipment and conduct operational and life testing.

Troubleshoot product failures.

Perform cabinet integration testing and troubleshoot.

Perform Infrared (IR) and dielectric testing.

Image PCs and set up IP addresses to enable communication between workstation and machines.

Perform other duties as requested.
Skills and Experience
Able to read, utilize, and interpret prints and technical manuals

Experience in debugging/troubleshooting of electro-mechanical assemblies up to systems level repair

Able to apply technical knowledge of electronics principals in determining equipment and multiple product malfunctions

Able to apply skills and knowledge to restore and repair manufactured products

Demonstrate problem solving and technical aptitude

Able to perform a variety of tasks to meet production and service requirements including but not limited to maintenance, repair, and testing of various types of electronic equipment and related devices

Knowledge of lean manufacturing, zero defect programs, Kaizen, and 8D a plus


Multi-tasking and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Availability to work extended hours including evenings and weekends to meet deadlines, when necessary

CONTRACT LENGTH: 1 year with strong likelihood of conversion, extension, or promotion

+ The Production Test Technician is responsible for testing various parts from Production and Investigation teams by following good documentation practices (GDP) and relevant standard operating procedures (SOPs).

+ Complete assigned tasks and ensure all activities are compliant with the company's quality, safety and departmental policies and standards.

+ Apply analytical skills or operational processes to perform testing utilizing the GeneXpert system with moderate guidance and direction

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Performing several levels of Production Testing

+ Responsible for performing in process PCR testing of products throughout the Manufacturing process.

+ Assists in developing methods and procedures to conduct in-process bio testing during the manufacturing process.

+ Works with other departments such as engineering, product transfer and planning in conducting experiments.

+ Need to follow established documentation outlining the process and test requirements to manufacture PCR based products in compliance with standards for GMPs.

DESIRED SKILLS:
