Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Reviews setup sheet and specifications to determine setup procedure, punching sequence and dimensions of finished work piece.Selects and installs tooling and position work clamps according to setup instructions.Enters commands to retrieve pre-programmed machine instructions from database.Observes and listens to machine operation to detect malfunctions such as worn or damaged punching tools.Reviews setup sheet and specifications to determine setup procedure, punching sequence and dimensions of finished work piece.Changes punching tools and location of work piece during punching process as specified in setup instructions. Measures work piece for conformance to specifications and delivers to Quality department for approval.Notifies supervisor of discrepancies.Other duties may be assigned as required.
Education and Experience Requirements
Must have a high school diploma or GED, technical school training and 1 - 4 years experience as a Punch Operator / Programmer or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must have working abilities in a fast paced production area. Must have strong mechanical aptitudes Must have proven ability in communication, organization, setting priorities, working independently and in a team environment. Must be able to adapt quickly to change and work under tight deadlines. Must be cooperative, willing to share knowledge, cross train, take on additional responsibilities when needed, lead teams and be accountable. Must have the ability to read, analyze and interpret information such as blueprints, flat pattern and drawings and be able to respond to common inquiries or complaints from internal and external customers. Must be able to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations and the required math skills required to perform programming.

Manufacturing environment. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
