Job/Position Summary
Under the direction of the Foundry Process Engineering, the Foundry Process Technician I process samples and product, measures and input data.
Major Areas of Responsibility
Follow all safety, quality procedures, and work instructions.
Ability to use technical measurement equipment and follow procedures for technical measurement equipment.
Process sample and product
Be responsible for producing and collecting data in a rapid, efficient, and quality manner.
Maintain housekeeping in the work area.
Some physical requirements include walking, lifting up to 25 lbs, and pushing carts with samples.
Other related duties as directed by management.
Education and Experience
High School diploma or equivalent is required. 1-year related experience to meet educational requirements can be considered in lieu of education.
3 years of direct experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
Direct ceramic manufacturing (batching, firing, finishing…) experience a plus.
Reading, writing and communicating in English.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Fundamental knowledge of metrology tools such as micrometers, calipers etc.
Basic computer skills to include familiarity with email, excel spreadsheet and word processing.
Able to work independently or in team environment as necessary.
Demonstrated ability to manage own workload.
Basic knowledge of SPC.
Ability to work directly with engineering and production to facilitate obtaining and measuring samples through the production line.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Able to comply with requirements for respirator usage.
Ability to move, handle and lift 50 lbs raw material bags and drums.

Required to use measuring or other analytical tools requiring good near vision.

Essential Functions of the Position
Conduct QA/QC inspections for all civil construction activities, including but not limited

components.
Review and interpret project drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
Prepare and maintain daily inspection reports, test results, non-conformance reports
(NCRs), and corrective action documentation.
Monitor construction work to ensure compliance with approved inspection and test plans
(ITPs).
Coordinate with contractors, site engineers, consultants, and quality managers to address
any quality-related issues.
Verify materials and workmanship meet the project's approved submittals and standards.
Attend quality and coordination meetings as needed.
Ensure that all inspection and testing records are properly documented and archived.
Support continuous improvement by identifying recurring quality issues and suggesting
practical solutions.
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Civil
Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
Minimum of [3-5] years of experience in civil construction QA/QC, preferably in
infrastructure or large-scale projects.
In-depth knowledge of industry standards and codes (ASTM, ACI, AASHTO, etc.).
Experience reviewing and implementing Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and Quality
Control Plans (QCPs).
Familiarity with construction materials and laboratory/field testing procedures.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and QA/QC reporting tools.
Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to project sites.
Preferred Certifications (Not Required, but a Plus):
ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade I
NICET Certification in Civil/Construction Inspection
OSHA 10 or 30 Certification

The candidate will lead the set up and adjustment of laboratory apparatuses to include experiment tables at the request of scientists and engineers supporting the Logistics Material Control Activity at the Air Force Research Laboratory, Kirtland, AFB, NM. Personnel will perform a variety of activities including, but not limited to, the service functions listed below.
Perform duties found within Performance Work Statement pertaining to Laboratory Technician Duties (1.3.4) in accordance with Air Force Instructions and Technical Directives.
Performs laboratory tests according to prescribed standards.
Set up and adjust laboratory apparatuses to include experiment tables at the request of scientists and engineers. Perform inspections and resolve discrepancies in locally developed laboratory operations and AF safety checklists.
Perform laboratory maintenance/materiel management support tasks per AFRLI 21-101 and AFRLI 23-141. Operate and maintain basic laboratory machinery (e.g., laser chillers, clean room systems, vacuum pumps, generators, vacuum chambers, ovens, air compressors, etc.) in accordance with all technical and user manuals and other technical directives.
Assist with field testing operations, test asset movement/positioning, and coordinate transportation requirements to/from the test ranges (on and off Kirtland AFB NM). Operate select government motor vehicles/forklifts as necessary to meet mission requirements. Perform required inspections, cleaning and basic servicing, and arrange for maintenance actions on Air Force owned/leased vehicles and equipment items [trailers/Other Government Motor Vehicle Conveyances (OGMVCs); total 56] per local policy and as directed by the PRS VCO.
Manage laboratory equipment, stock, and components (to include equipment/IT custodian). Manage hazardous communication and waste programs per OSHA and AF policies, including the Kirtland AFB Hazardous Waste Management Plan.
Sets up and adjusts laboratory apparatuses and equipment.
Service beyond established hours may be required when the mission dictates to include traveling to support essential operations/functions. Laboratory technicians may be required to perform shift work per the customer's mission needs.
Records test results on standard forms, writes test reports describing procedures used, prepares graphs and charts, and cleans and sterilizes laboratory apparatuses.
Requirements
Employees shall be able to read, write, speak and comprehend English, have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in email or verbally.
Must be able to obtain and retain a secret security clearance.

Under general supervision, performs technical work in biology and microbiology. This may require working some evenings and weekends, if needed.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Orders or assists in ordering materials for biology labs.
* Receives and inventories stocks.
* Maintains adequate supplies.
* Maintains order in the stockroom.
* Maintains safety standards in stockroom.
* Assists in providing safe laboratories and classrooms.
* Prepares labs for students.
* Cleans laboratory equipment.
* Maintains live specimens when appropriate.
* May supervise the work of student laboratory assistants.
* Performs minor repairs, contacts repairmen or returns damaged materials to companies for repair.
* Assists in budget preparation and operates within the confines of the budget.
* Assists in setting up and taking down lab practical examinations.
* Maintains records on student lockers.
* Maintains organisms.
* Makes up buffers and solutions for biotechnology courses.
* Maintains Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) records.
* Stores hazardous materials for pick up; schedules pick up; disposes of broken glass; and assists in establishing protocols for the handling and disposal of chemical waste in the classroom.
* Make up media, autoclave and pour plates for microbiology classes.
* Work with the science faculty to ensure experimental materials are set up in advance of the labs.
* Work with the laboratory coordinator to keep laboratories and prep areas clean and organized.
* Help maintain inventory databases; keep track of materials in need of replenishing.
* Assist with the clean-up efforts following each laboratory class.
* Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with students, faculty, administration and staff.
* Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 12 semester units of biology or biologically related sciences from an accredited college or university, or an equivalent combination of training, education, and qualifying experience which demonstrates the skills and abilities necessary to perform the duties for this position. (Must submit a copy of college transcripts with application.)
2. Two (2) plus years experience working in a laboratory.
3. Experience using standard laboratory equipment: autoclave, pH meters, centrifuges, spectrophotometers, incubators, pipet aids, scales, or magnetic stirrers.
4. Experience keeping accurate records and maintaining inventory control.
5. Understanding of, sensitivity to, and respect for the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
Desirable Qualifications

Measure and perform visual inspection of weldments for final acceptance.
Perform various NDT inspections as required for compliance.
