As a Lab Technician you will support and perform multiple Manufacturing activities that contribute to specific technologies, or other business support objectives at the Little Rock, AR Plant for Protective and Marine Coatings. You will report to the Quality Assurance Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Follow established procedures and guidelines to perform routine laboratory procedures to test the quality of the organization's raw materials, in- process products, and finished products.
Perform quantitative and qualitative chemical or biological analysis to verify process conditions and compile research data. Evaluate the physical characteristics of raw materials and products such as permeability, disintegration, and crystal growth viscosity.
Record results, perform calculations, and prepare simple technical reports, including conclusions and recommendations.
Follow instructions and checklists to set-up equipment and apparatus and mix chemical solutions for use in tests.
Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on laboratory equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
Qualifications
Requires a high school education or equivalent
1-3 years lab experience
Good record keeping
Must comply with all safety and EH&S procedures
Willingness to work in a team.

Summary
Remove and mount proper tooling, observe machines in operations and make adjustments to control the rate and quality of production.
