Your tasks * Support the established Quality policy * Fulfills role as required in the documented quality system manual, directives and work instructions. * Select products and prepare samples for tests at specified stages in production process, and test products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical or chemical characteristics per required standards. * Set up and perform destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts or products to measure performance, life and/or material characteristics per required standards. * Assure 100% compliance to all standards including but not limited to ASTM, NSF, UL, etc. * Record test data, applying statistical quality control procedures. * Evaluate data and complete reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards. * Raise concerns to management when quality concerns arise. * Support operators in finding solutions to quality problems. * Recommend modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability. * Prepare graphs or charts of data and/or enter data into computer for analysis. * Lift and move heavy items as required. * Operate lift truck as required. * Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follow safety policies and procedures. About the position: As a Laboratory Technician in Training, you will train in preparing histologic slides from tissue sections for microscopic examination and diagnosis by pathologists. Work is performed in accordance with standard laboratory practice under limited supervision. What you'll do: Clinical Duties Responsible for becoming proficient in day-to-day operations of Lab Services; specifically: Assess tissue adequacy for testing Perform quality control checks on materials produced Complete equipment maintenance and logs Develop problem-solving skills-determining causes of operating errors and deciding corrective course of action Controlling operations of equipment and systems Monitor and assess performance of self to make improvements or take corrective action Assist in Lab for other duties as assigned Practice safe work procedures while performing job duties Periodically review of work product for compliance with standard operating procedures and applicable workload limits Administrative Duties Assist in Accessioning Maintenance of Lab logs and tracking sheets Other duties as assigned Requirements All SOPs must be followed Any discrepancies, errors and/or deviation from the SOPs or Policies must be reported to the Lab Director, Lab Manager, Admin Lead and/or Section Lead Laboratory Standards for Clinical testing must be maintained You should have: Education: Bachelor's or Associates degree from a four or two year-college or university with at least 12 semester hours biology and chemistry. Prefer 2 years of lab experience but not required Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Word Other Requirements: Eligible to sit for the National HT/HTL exam after 1 year of employment Schedule options: Monday-Friday 5:30am-2:30pm, Monday-Friday 6:00am-3:00pm, or Tuesday-Friday 6:00am-3:00pm and every Saturday 8:00am-4:30pm. Completes all duties under the direction of the Site Director or designee. Maintains accurate, confidential files and documentation of study participants. In executing these position responsibilities, the Clinical Intake Assistant is guided by Good Clinical Practices (GCP), International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) guidelines, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and company standard operating procedures and policies. PRN-hours will vary, need to be flexible Responsibilities: Maintain tenants of good customer service when interacting with subjects, staff, and representatives of sponsors or CROs. Clinical skills include phlebotomy, vital sign measurements, and performing ECGs. Collect demographic, medical, and medication history. Complete safety assessments Work closely and collaboratively with Director of Clinical Operations, Clinical Research Coordinators, Sub-Investigator, and Principal Investigator. Enter data as appropriate for multiple Electronic Data Capture platforms as well as respond and resolve queries that may arise. Meet defined goals established in conjunction with site leadership.
