The Quality ControlTechnician is responsible for taking samples, observing and testing a variety of materials from all stages of the production process, using physical, and instrumental techniques. POSITION OVERVIEW
The Quality Technician is responsible for driving the 80 Acres Farms quality and food safety program across all processes at the farm. With strong knowledge of 80 Acres Farms Food Safety and Quality procedures the Quality Technician will perform process audits, product monitoring and verification checks, shelf-life evaluations and collection of food safety and quality data as applicable. The Quality Technician will be responsible for on-time identification and escalation of food safety and quality issues at the farm level, assist in food safety and quality training, support implementation of corrective actions, conduct and participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement projects.

Key responsibilities and duties:
Monitor and verify compliance with food safety and quality programs and procedures on a day-to-day basis.
Evaluate and document effectiveness of cleaning and sanitation of equipment prior to start-up. Verify general areas are maintained in sanitary conditions throughout operations shifts.
Evaluate product adherence to specification at different stages in the process, including harvest, mixing, and packing.
Collect environmental and product samples in compliance with schedule.
Collect and evaluate shelf-life samples in compliance with schedule.
Verify and calibrate food safety and quality metric monitoring devices such as metal detector, scales, and temperature recorders.
Monitor and verify implementation of corrective actions at the farm level.

Shift: 6:00am-6:00pm Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and every other Wednesday
What a typical day looks like:
Audits processes, tests and inspects products and/or develops, compiles and evaluates statistical data to define and maintain quality and reliability of products.
Working from engineering drawings, specifications, schematics, diagrams, written descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform complex engineering testing, checkout, First Article Inspection, root cause research, internal corrective actions and supplier correction actions.
Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to define quality and reliability standards.
Selects processes to be audited from primarily the manufacturing areas and checks for a variety of features, including ESD (electro-static discharge) and handling practices, documentation, training and process integrity.
Selects products for audits at specified stages in the production or post-production process, and tests products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance and mechanical, electrical or cosmetic characteristics.
Records audit data, applying statistical quality control procedures.
Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards, programs or reports to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
Perform calibration on inspection tools e.g. micrometers, calipers height gages etc.
Maintain gage track program, print list of gages due for calibration in the beginning of each month and follow up with calibration.
Send gages out for calibration, maintain calibration records.
Prepares graphs or charts of data or enters data into computer for research data.
Download quality information from quality system to be used for QA reports.
Research for engineering test results and implements process changes to resolve problems.
Performs out of box audits (OBA) as required.
Provides factory hold up to identify and resolve issues associated with purchased parts, materials and manufacturing.
May be required to perform receiving inspection.
Review at the beginning of the shift the Quality Auditors assistance and validated the Check List.
Scrap disposition at MRB in less than 24 hours.
Assure that the Customer implementation activities are in place.
Meet the SSYMA requirements (boats, goggles, gloves, ear plugs).
Review the SPC data and confirm the actions are effective.
Validate the tooling and gauges are working properly (microscope, magnifier, etc).
Qualifications:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, technical training, or equivalent experience.
Typically requires a minimum of 4 years of related experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform calibration, verification, and functional checks on a variety of instruments and equipment (e.g., pressure, temperature, dimensional, electrical, torque, and flow devices)
Maintain and update calibration records, certificates, and traceability documentation in accordance with internal quality procedures
Identify and segregate equipment found out of tolerance

Familiarity with measurement principles, uncertainty, and common standards for dimensional, electrical, or mechanical calibration
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and equipment manuals
Strong computer skills and experience with calibration management software (e.g., GAGEtrak, IndySoft, or similar)
Excellent attention to detail, recordkeeping, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a manufacturing environment

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Quality Technician is responsible for driving the 80 Acres Farms quality and food safety program across all processes at the farm. With strong knowledge of 80 Acres Farms Food Safety and Quality procedures the Quality Technician will perform process audits, product monitoring and verification checks, shelf-life evaluations and collection of food safety and quality data as applicable. The Quality Technician will be responsible for on-time identification and escalation of food safety and quality issues at the farm level, assist in food safety and quality training, support implementation of corrective actions, conduct and participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement projects.
This is a great entry level position that provides a foundation that supports growth in a Quality career path.
Key responsibilities and duties:
Monitor and verify compliance with food safety and quality programs and procedures on a day-to-day basis.
Evaluate and document effectiveness of cleaning and sanitation of equipment prior to start-up. Verify general areas are maintained in sanitary conditions throughout operations shifts.
Evaluate product adherence to specification at different stages in the process, including harvest, mixing, and packing.
Collect environmental and product samples in compliance with schedule.
Collect and evaluate shelf-life samples in compliance with schedule.
Verify and calibrate food safety and quality metric monitoring devices such as metal detector, scales, and temperature recorders.
Monitor and verify implementation of corrective actions at the farm level.
Ensure farm compliance with food safety regulations.
Support continuous improvement projects as needed.
In addition to the primary responsibilities outlined for this role, team members will also support production operations as needed. This may include hands-on tasks within our production environment to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations.

What You'll Bring
2+ years of experience working in a manufacturing or test lab environment or equivalent educational background in Mechanical/electrical engineering or similar.
Ability to understand and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics.
Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and the ability to measure part features accordingly.
Experience with CMMs, pCMMs or other high-precision dimensional metrology equipment and associated metrology software (PC-DMIS, Polyworks, etc.) strongly preferred
Experience with various dimensional, mechanical, and electrical test and measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, force gauges, digital multimeters, etc.)
Ability to work with and interpret data to drive action utilizing basic statistical analysis
