A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A RADIO READING TECHNICIAN

As a Radio Reading Technician you will be responsible for assisting the Manager with producing radio reading service content and broadcasts to serve those in need of such services while representing the agency in fulfilling its mission. Help oversee schedule content for broadcast. Assemble and direct volunteers to read content for broadcast in both pre-recorded and live feeds. Help maintain radio reading program equipment while working with other departments providing support to ensure quality of radio reading service is kept at high level.


QUALIFICATIONS FOR A RADIO READING TECHNICIAN

Summary:

Performs all phases of interventional and neuro-interventional radiologic examinations on pediatric/congenital and/or adult patients in the CVIS in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

Detailed responsibilities:

* Prepares patients for procedures by reviewing medical history, draping and positioning the patient, preparing procedural/testing sites and administering contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.

* Assists physician with performing diagnostic and vascular interventional procedures (utilizing surgical sterile technique). Reviews results and takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues.
