Join the Genesis family as a Maintenance Helper. In this role, your priority is the safety and comfort of our patients and residents as you complete a variety of tasks to maintain the building and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition along with a pleasing appearance.
Some of the specific duties of the position are as follows:
Make minor repairs on handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers, changes filters on HVAC equipment, carries, lifts and stocks supplies
Take care of the tools and equipment
Operate in the TELS platform system for all Life Safety, regulatory and daily tasks
Remain on-call, when assigned, for 24 hours a day
Assume supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence

We are seeking a Bilingual Facility Attendant to join our team at our program in Philadelphia, PA.

Program Details
Fresh Start transitional housing programs were developed to provide 24/7 support to Veterans and individuals with a history of homelessness, chemical dependency, and/or varying degrees of behavioral health issues. Fresh Start currently has over 300 beds that operate out of 14 different locations in Philadelphia and Coatesville, PA. These programs work in partnership with the Philadelphia and Coatesville VA Medical Centers and Philadelphia's Office of Addiction Services (OAS). In addition, Fresh Start also has "self-pay" housing options where individuals can stay for an indefinite period of time.
Position Details
Facility Attendants monitor residents' behavior. Ensure a safe, harassment free atmosphere conducive to recovery. Perform building checks for cleanliness and safety (this includes all rooms). Incident reporting to include writing incident reports, reporting immediately to supervisor, or program manager and following procedures as stated in Merakey policy. Monitor residents while they take their prescribed medication, report all medication monitoring issues to immediate supervisor and following Merakey incident report policy. Monitor assigned chores (if applicable) and ensure that general inspections (GI's) are done properly. Complete assigned trainings within mandated time frames.
