JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is a professional or student of Respiratory Therapy who assesses and treats patients with both acute and chronic dysfunction of the cardiopulmonary system in collaboration with physicians and care providers to coordinate the best plan of care for the patient. Summary:

Monitors patient's physiological status and responses to therapy such as vital signs, breath sounds, respiratory rate and pattern, arterial blood gases, and blood chemistry changes.
Performs bronchopulmonary hygiene and assists patient in performing breathing exercises.
