York County Development roller skate assembler job description

Description Positions available with Division of Parks and Recreation. Program runs September through June on Friday nights from 5:30 pm to 11:30 pm. Training will be provided for all positions.
Skate Facility Supervisor (Must be 18 years of age or older) ($17.00 per hour)

High school graduate or equivalent with some college course work preferred. Manages the daily operation of the Dare Elementary Skating Facility. Responsible for directing staff, assisting patrons, monitoring activities, and maintaining cleanliness of facility. Resolves concerns, conflicts and problems of patrons to ensure that services are provided in a professional and safe manner. Responsible for assigning work tasks, developing work schedules, and assisting the Recreation Supervisor in monitoring and evaluating staff.

Skate Facility Support Staff (Must be 16 years of age or older) ($12.00-$15.00 per hour)

Assists skating facility patrons by working admissions, skate rental and repair, skate floor guard, concessions, and the DJ booth. Provides information concerning facility operations, programs and policies, and enforces skating rules. Responsible for the set-up and break-down of equipment. Facilitates games and contests as needed.

Minimum Qualifications Requires strong customer service skills and the ability exercise tact and courtesy when interacting with patrons of all ages.

Current First Aid and CPR certifications preferred.

Requires an acceptable criminal background check.

Supplemental Information A consistent and reliable attendance record is required.

Must be available to work a revised schedule when needed.

Criminal background check conducted prior to employment.

Physical Demands Requires regular, and at times sustained, performance of heavier physical tasks such as walking/running over rough or uneven surfaces, bending, stooping, kneeling, leaping, jumping down, standing in place or continual walking, lifting and carrying of moderate to heavy items (including people) on a consistent basis.
