    Job Description Concrete Finisher- Concrete Craftsman Team The Concrete Finisher plays a critical role in the construction and finishing of commercial concrete projects. This position is responsible for performing skilled tasks such as placing, leveling, smoothing, and finishing concrete, setting and stripping forms, operating finishing tools and power equipment, and ensuring high-quality surface results. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in concrete finishing, a strong work ethic, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a fast-paced team environment. This role requires physical stamina, precise attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and workmanship on every job site. Essential Functions Communicate effectively and provide assistance to fellow crew members to ensure efficient workflow and project coordination. Assist in placing, pouring, leveling, and finishing concrete to meet project specifications and quality standards. Read and interpret plans, drawings, instructions, and specifications to accurately complete assigned work activities. Signal equipment operators to guide the alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials. Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate potential hazards, and clean tools, equipment, machinery, and work areas after use. Erect and disassemble scaffolding, shoring, braces, ramps, and other temporary structures in accordance with safety procedures. Perform routine safety inspections, serve as a safety monitor, and assist with onsite and remote safety training as needed. Safely operate a variety of hand and power tools required for concrete placement, finishing, and general construction tasks. Demonstrate cognitive ability to: Follow directions and routines. Work independently with appropriate judgment. Exhibit awareness. Read words and numbers. Concentrate, memorize, and recall. Responsibilities Report to work on time daily with a positive attitude, follow punch in and punch out procedures, fill out all necessary daily paperwork correctly. Follow all instructions provided by field leadership to meet daily goals. Follow all company SOP as it relates to tools and formwork use, care, and storage. Be prepared to work outside in all weather. Have the necessary tools on the tool list to perform the work. Qualifications A minimum of 12 months of experience in commercial concrete flatwork and finishing, including tasks such as placing, leveling, smoothing, and finishing concrete. Experience operating power float equipment (walk-behind or ride-on) is required. Ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to obtain and maintain OSHA 10 Certification. Physical capability to regularly lift and lower objects up to 50 pounds, and up to 80 pounds on occasion. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to job sites, including occasional overnight stays. A valid driver's license is strongly preferred. Strong attendance record and satisfactory performance evaluations.
