Summary
We're looking for a Project Manager to lead a portfolio of land development projects for one of our key clients. In this role, you'll oversee and coordinate project delivery while also identifying opportunities to grow and expand our work with existing commercial land development clients. Success in this position means providing exceptional client service and strengthening a long-standing partnership.
You'll also take ownership of key performance measures like scope, revenue, profitability, quality, and utilization to ensure project success. We're seeking someone with an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for growing alongside our team.

Responsibilities
Lead the planning, permitting, and implementation of commercial land development projects
Manage project scope, schedule, and budget while ensuring compliance with company standards, policies, and procedures
Coordinate design efforts with clients, contractors, architects, and other consultants
Provide clear and effective day-to-day guidance to project team staff and assist with workload planning and task assignments
Engage with clients regularly to provide updates, manage expectations, and maintain strong working relationships
Represent Sambatek at project meetings with municipalities, clients, and external stakeholders
Support business development by identifying new opportunities, building client relationships, and assisting with proposal preparation
Proactively manage project finances, including preparing change orders, invoicing, and supporting collection efforts
Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and are completed at key milestones
Contribute to the achievement of QA/QC goals and help define project objectives and resource needs
Requirements:
5+ years of managing land development projects (with a preference for experience in multi-site development)
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Land Planning, or other relevant degree
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to exercise independent judgment
Proven ability to manage time effectively and adapt quickly to shifting priorities throughout the day
Demonstrated conflict resolution skills and a collaborative, solution-oriented mindset

As a Senior Transportation Planner/Engineer, you will work in a highly flexible, team-oriented environment and must have excellent communication, data management, and documentation skills. You will serve as a Project Manager, taking a leadership role in management, production, and quality assurance/quality control procedures. Basic Qualifications:

AICP or PE Certification preferred.
10+ years of progressive transportation development experience, with at least 5 years of project management experience.
Knowledge and experience with NEPA (and NC equivalent), Section 4F, Section 6F, Section 106, Section 404, NCDOT Merger Process, including preparation of environmental compliance documents.
NCDOT and municipality client experience is preferred.
Proficiency with ArcGIS, Microsoft Office (including MS Project) is required. Experience with MicroStation is helpful.
Experience identifying grant opportunities and developing grant applications preferred, but not required.
Strong writing and presentation skills.
Facilitation skills with leading public engagement and stakeholder meetings.

Qualifications:
Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the utility coordination industry, preferably NCDOT experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook.
Proficiency in reading and understanding civil transportation engineering design plans.
Proficiency in reading and understanding utility installation and adjustment plans.
Ability to transition easily between multiple projects and tasks.
Basic MicroStation/Open Roads experience (required).
Position requires strong communication, both verbal and written, organization skills, attention to detail, scheduling and problem-solving skills.

* Maintains professional registration and licensure by ensuring conformance with professional, ethical, educational, and discipline practice requirements. Remains knowledgeable of all applicable federal, state, and local codes, criteria, regulations, and ordinances that are pertinent to respective discipline.
* May provide technical guidance and assign tasks to junior and support staff for project duration. May also manage discipline and small multidisciplinary teams and ensure adherence to company and project contractual requirements.
* Performs all other duties as assigned and within scope of practice.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Requires a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program or equivalent experience.
* Minimum of 10 years relevant experience.
* PE License in the State of North Carolina is required, or ability to obtain.
* Proficient in production software and construction document production.
* Must possess strong oral and written communications skills.
* Must have the ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, customers, contractors, and other key stakeholders.
* Thorough knowledge of AASHTO LRFD Design Standards, NCDOT Bridge Design Manual.
* Proficiency with Microstation is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
* NCDOT design experience includes full bridge/culvert replacements, bridge rehabilitations, and bridge widening projects.
* Experience in bridge design for phased construction projects.
* Working knowledge of Bentley OpenBridge Designer and Modeler.
* Working knowledge of SCDOT Bridge Design Manual.
* Experience in shop drawing review and construction consultation.

Role Summary
As a Senior Project Manager, you'll lead multidisciplinary teams through all phases of planning, design, and delivery of complex projects. Key Responsibilities
* Plan, design, and manage a variety of aviation and civil infrastructure projects
* Oversee stormwater, utility infrastructure, and pavement design and assessments

* Prepare engineering plans, specifications, reports, and permit applications
