Sanitation inspector job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Follows daily work instructions from the Team Leader, Supervisor or Manager.
• Cleans all areas and performs assigned duties in a timely manner.
• Checks the office cleaning equipment daily to ensure that they are in proper working order.
• Assists the Lead and Supervisor with employee pizza sales.
• Submits requests for repair of office cleaning equipment to the team leader or the supervisor.
• Inspects completed work.
• Requests chemicals, supplies, and/or equipment whenever needed through the Supervisor or the Team Leader.
• Maintains and suggests changes that may increase the life of the sanitation equipment and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
• Maintains a safe work environment.
• Ensures that all sanitation containers are properly labelled.
• Suggests ways to control labor and supply costs as well as improve processes.
• Ensures that all work activities are performed with attention to the highest standards for quality, safety and compliance with all appropriate legal and food safety requirements and a focus on continuous improvement.
• Follows all company policies & procedures as well as the GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices).
• Maintains a high level of safety awareness for an accident-free work place.
• Reports any unsafe or hazardous work conditions or safety-related issues to Management.
• Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.

Education, Skills and Experience:
Education:
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Skills and Experience:
• Ability to work overtime, irregular hours or rotating shifts.
• Ability to minimally to communicate in English.
• Ability to understand and follow simple instructions in written or verbal form.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and policy and procedure manuals.
• Ability to use tools and perform minor repairs as needed.
• Ability to effectively communicate to appropriate personnel.
• Ability to thrive in a constantly changing environment.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job in the plant, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to airborne particles. Employee may be exposed to extreme hot or cold temperatures. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. While in the plant, the employee is required to utilize the required personal protective equipment.

$14 - $17 PER HOUR DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE

Work Availability:

* The bakery is open Monday - Saturday 9am - 7pm & Sunday 11am - 5pm. Looking for candidates to work 2 PM - 7 PM Monday through Friday

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

* Abide by all NBC policies and procedures
* Manually washes, rinses and sanitizes all baking pans, dishes, utensils, and other tools in a thorough and timely manner and adheres to all NbC standards.
* Monitors sanitization levels to ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines.
* Gathers and removes garbage, sweeps, and mops floors, and cleans floor drains.
* Performs routine cleaning of windows, shelves, counters, refrigerator, cooler, and bathroom.
* Cleans sanitizes and restocks the workstation and ensures all cleaning supplies are sufficiently prepared for the next shift.
* Monitors inventory of cleaning supplies and notifies management when replenishment is required.
* Assists in the unloading, processing, and storage of weekly supplies delivery.
* Fold Boxes and label containers
* Supports other team members in cleaning and organizing workstations as needed.
* Assist baker and froster(s) with daily tasks
* Complies with all health and safety guidelines and NbC policies and procedures, including strict adherence to dress code and personal hygiene.
* Maintains a consistent work attendance and punctuality record.

Education, Certifications and Work Experience Requirements:

* Applicants must be 16 years of age or older.
* While no formal education or work experience is required, previous experience as a Dishwasher or in another operational support role at a bakery, restaurant or foodservice environment is a plus.

Compensation: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour

Job Purpose

The Warehouse Sanitation is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the sanitation levels of the warehouse and office area, including the employee break room.

Key Responsibilities

The Warehouse Sanitation will be assigned the following duties, based on organizational needs and priorities.
•Sweep all warehouse aisles and docks.
•Scrub all warehouse aisles and docks.
•Scrub (deep clean) all pick slots.
•Remove all plastic and cardboard from pallets.
•Empty all warehouse trash cans daily.
•Dust all boxes as needed.
•Rebox, tape up and/or remove damaged cases as needed.
•Vacuum all carpeted areas daily.
•Sweep & Mop all tile floors daily.
•Empty all trash cans daily.
•Clean break room tables daily.
•Clean break room chairs as needed.
•Wipe down vending machines facings as needed.
•Clean all bathroom fixtures daily.
•Clean markings/dust on walls as needed.
•Dust pictures on the wall as needed.
•Clean and dust all desks, computers, cabinets, chairs etc. as needed.
•Clean refrigerator weekly.
•Empty contents from refrigerator every Friday.
•Clean and maintain sanitation standard of water cooler.
•Clean all interior windows monthly.
•Spot clean carpet stains as needed.
•Maintain clean supplies in an orderly fashion and equipment is proper working order.
•Perform other tasks as needed.
