Role Mission: At IDEA, our Child Nutrition Program (CNP) campus farms work within the larger Healthy Kids Here initiative dedicated to making IDEA Public Schools one of the healthiest school districts in the nation. CNP Farmers report directly to CNP Campus Farm Managers to support with farm educational programming and farm production. Educational programming includes coordinating with campus leaders on program approved curriculum, preparing lesson activities, instructing K-12 students through on-farm project-based learning, and supervising students during outdoor classroom instruction. The CNP Farmer works with the CNP Campus Farm Manager in executing a four-season diversified farming system that includes cover cropping, crop rotation, orchard cultivation, native habitat maintenance, and an integrated pest management plan. Additionally, the CNP Farmer contributes to farm safety and efficiency by updating inventory, tracking farm data, and implementing all food safety protocols outlined in the Farm Food Safety Plan. Job Description SEASONAL PARK KEEPER SALARY: $11.00 per hour GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: The overall purpose and general responsibilities Under the supervision of the Division Park Manager, has the responsibility of greeting park guests, and providing the public with general information of the park rules and its amenities. Is a temporary non-supervisory position. Accountable for following the park policies and the collection of monies for services rendered. Exercise proper customer ethics to remedy disgruntled guests. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: General point of contact Reports to Division Park Manager or Assistant Park Manager. Communicates with the public, park guests, gate attendants and other co-workers. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The fundamental duties and tasks which define the job Responsible for greeting guests and customers in a proper courteous and professional manner. Provide the public with information regarding the amenities of the parks, park hours, fees and park policies. Direct complaints to proper division manager, or assistant manager. Receive and transmit radio communications with office and other park division staff. Responsible for general park duties including: litter collection, maintaining beach areas and entrance areas to remain free of any litter. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A High School Diploma or G.E.D.
