Job Details:

Job Summary: Performs Microelectronic assembly using manual and automated techniques. The Micro-Electronics Assembly Technician will work closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Test and Design on existing and new products in a clean room environment. This position requires skills for handling ultra miniature materials which may only be visible through microscopes. Individual will have daily assembly responsibilities to work on moderately complex assignments with minimal supervision, exercise judgement for problem resolution and provide recommendations.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs assembly tasks that include installation of connectors, substrates, components and modules in highly complex microwave assemblies, often utilizing using paste and sheet epoxies Able to work 6-8 hours under a scope with miniaturized tools such as tweezers to perform chip & wire assembly, soldering of miniature components and mechanical assembly using fine screwdrivers Able to run Automated Equipment for Pick & Place, Screen Printing, Solder Reflow, Wire bonding, Laser and Tape & Reel operations Conducts design of experiments on new processes or equipment. Gathers and Analyzes this engineering data and makes recommendations for production recipes.Detect nonconforming material, troubleshoot failures in assembly, perform rework and provide recommendations for yield improvement Identifies inconsistencies or gaps in data and seeks sources to clarify information.Ability to read and work from detailed process sheets and drawings; Good computer skills are required to support retrieval of drawings and work instructions as well as other job activities Assists in Equipment Installation, maintains equipment logs and participates in preventive maintenance Assists in design modifications by compiling data related to designs, specifications, and materials pertinent to equipment under design and test.

Minimum Job Requirements:Two-year college degree, or military technical training or equivalent, plus a minimum of eight years direct micro electronic assembly or equivalent experience. Intermediate level computer skills and knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required. Ability to understand and perform moderately complex technical phases of work. Ability to read, write, and interpret technical materials. Ability to communication with general engineering staff, verbally and written. Ability to use hand tools and equipment to perform assembly. US Citizenship required.

Work under the general direction of the Team Leader and is responsible to determine and direct the sequence of manufacturing operations and functions required to manufacture products that comply with company goals and customer requirements.

+ Plan, lead and supervise assigned functions in Manufacturing Operations Group necessary to manufacture and deliver products in accordance with contractual and other related requirements such as quality, procurement regulations, program requirements, cost control/budgets, engineering change control, environmental compliance and others. Perform a wide range of assembly and test operations, operate equipment and oversee product quality and workmanship schedule, assigning and monitoring work within the cell to meet program objectives.

+ Responsible to execute on assigned program budgets, costs to complete and compliance to quality systems requirements and procedures, per the instruction of the Team Leader. Ensure established metrics that track performance to the requirements in quality, schedule, cost and continued application of lean enterprise are executed. Make recommendations on production tooling, determining needs. Oversee tool maintenance. Ensure necessary material, machinery and/or personnel are available when needed. Report deficiencies to Team Leader and work to repair those deficiencies. Monitor production process within Group to ensure work orders are followed properly, takt time is being achieved and required paperwork is completed appropriately. Participate in recommendations for corrective and preventive actions.

+ Establish and maintain effective communication within and between functional groups/management to address problems and obtain resolution. Execute on cost control by scheduling appropriate use of manpower through balancing production need. Develop and revise assembly and production procedures. Maintain high standard of performance expectations from employees through appropriate evaluations and training such that the assigned functions demonstrate continuous improvement and compliance to standards.

+ Provide input on Employee Performance Appraisals. Provide input on employee placement, requirements for hiring of personnel and training/cross training. Provide input for product quotes and estimates complete requests. Lead and/or participate in process improvement efforts to address or enhance program quality, cost and scheduling.

+ Assure coordination and integration of workflow with continuous improvement through lean activities Support Company initiatives including ISO 9000 and Statistical Process Control (SPC) ensuring continuous improvement of policies, procedures, and products. Support all environmental and safety standards. Set standards for a safe work environment and provide leadership in the prevention of damaged goods. Maintain and monitor visual systems that support the programs, work with support departments to improve company systems, to increase performance.

Senior Assembler & Technical Reviewer
to join our team at Asahi Kasei Bioprocess! The person in this role will be responsible for assembly and qualification of DAC and SCS columns, hydraulic pump carts, and other pieces of column equipment in our clean and air-conditioned environment. They will also perform pre-assembly functions such as technical drawing review, assembly hardware take-off, qualification test form generation, as well as column troubleshooting and repair. Additionally, the Senior Assembly Specialist will work across departmental lines to expedite equipment builds and acts as a liaison between Assembly, QC, Engineering, and assists research and development projects as needed. Responsibilities:


Use engineering technical drawings, datasheets, BOMs, and P&IDs to lead assemblers in accurate assembly of bio/pharma equipment.
Responsible for take-off lists and ordering requests for hardware and assembly components.
Assist Production Manager - Columns in oversight of procurement schedules and coordination of production.
Update Column Team assembly tracking software (ClickUp).
Review QC Inspection Reports of Column fabricated parts (e.g. MTRs, C of Cs, vendor's supporting documentation).
Determine courses of action to repair parts failed in QC.
Uses the QMS to enter non-conformances and monitor issue resolution.
Assist in leading and providing technical support to FATs and SATs.
Coordinate pre-shipment activities with QA department including review of equipment and documentation.
Issue materials from Inventory to Jobs and Spare Parts Orders.
Provide technical training to employees and customers.



Qualifications/Requirements:


Two years technical college degree (Associates). Five years assembly/manufacturing experience. Ability to read blueprints. Experience as a senior or lead technician preferred.



Physical Demands/Environmental Conditions:


Ability to lift 50 lbs and climb ladders.
