Job Purpose
The Senior Database Engineer provides database administration and system support for existing production database environments to include performance of the following related tasks: software installation, patch installation, upgrades, query writing, configuration, database creation, security, system monitoring and tuning, disaster recovery planning, implementation and backup and recovery.Essential Job Responsibilities:

The Opportunity

The Senior Database Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, deploying, and supporting sophisticated database systems and data models. You will collaborate with business units to analyze current-state business processes and help modernize and build scalable and sustainable solutions to help ensure data integrity and security. What you'll Do

Design, build data models to support structured and unstructured data. Design, build and deploy scalable high-volume data pipelines to move data across systems. Lead architecture and implementation of batch and real-time data pipelines with instrumentation. Design, build data transformations, metrics and KPI with data governance and data privacy policies. Build centralized data lake, data warehouse and visualizations that support multiple use cases across different products for engineering and enterprise. Work with Product team to deliver features on time. Build data subject matter expertise and own data quality. Design and develop software and data solutions that help product, engineering and business teams make data-driven decisions. Own processes running in production, problem solving and optimization. Partner with data science team to provide quality data for model development and productizing machine learning models. Partner with analytics to build datasets that support visualizations. Conduct design and code reviews to deliver production quality code. Experience in data warehouse space. Experience in custom ETL/ELT design, patterns for efficient data integration, change data capture, implementation, and maintenance. Query writing (SQL & NoSQL), schema design, normalized data model and dimensional model. Experience in Python, Spark, API, Git, CI/CD, and AWS Cloud. MPP databases (AWS Redshift, Snowflake, Snaplogic, etc.) and RDBMS (PostgreSQL, MySQL). Processing data sources: Structured, Unstructured, Semi-Structed, SQL, PubSub, API and Event based in cloud-based infrastructure and data services. Airflow, S3, DBT. Python. Building flexible data

sets that enable current and future use cases. Analyzing large volumes of data to provide data driven insights, gaps. Development environments such as Docker, Kubernetes.

What you need to succeed

* BS in Computer Science / related technical field with 7 to 10 years of strong hands-on experience in enterprise data warehousing / big data implementations & sophisticated data solutions and frameworks

* Proven ability to clearly form and communicate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences with strong problem solving skills
