As a member of the Unity Development Team, this position will be a critical contributor to an ambitious strategic initiative with the goal of re-envisioning a broad suite of enterprise level applications. Aiming to create simple and compelling user experiences, the Senior Front-End Developer will be required to draw on a depth of design and engineering experience building complex web applications and systems. Aiming to create simple and compelling user experiences, the Senior Front End Developer will be required to draw on a depth of design and engineering experience building complex web applications and systems. Best equipped candidates will be highly proficient in the react front end framework, Typescript, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, web services, and testing practices. Candidates will be required to interface directly with product management, other business groups, customers, and key stakeholders demanding exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Duties and responsibilities, as they align to Ryan's Key Results

People:

Interface with other departments within the company on system enhancements and modifications, problem resolution and special requests. Maintains strong focus on customer service to all clients and assists with mentoring and training of junior members


Client:


Code, test and debug application systems while maintaining source code control system and application software versioning. Evaluate business processes, make recommendations, and implement systems design enhancements/changes. Implement systems and enhancements in accordance with current production change control guidelines and standards. Document and define requirements for development and enhancement projects; and processes and procedures in the Applications Development area.



Value:


Develop software features per requirements and specifications using technologies such as react and Typescript. Design and develop application architectures drawing from a deep understanding of languages, algorithms, and design patterns. Experience building enterprise quality market-facing products with professional user interfaces. Develop task plans and development schedules for achieving project objectives and deliverables. Adheres to Firm processes for change and configuration management, contributing to ongoing maintenance of audits and other security/compliance initiatives. Works with external vendors when necessary. Performs other duties as assigned.



Education and Experience:


Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent related work experience. Six or more years of practical applications development experience in a programmer or analyst capacity.


Computer Skills:


Languages: Typescript, C# is a plus, JavaScript, HTML and CSS Frameworks: React, .NET experience is a plus. Extensive front end experience and knowledge of multi-tiered applications. Experience with Visual Studio Code, Sublime, or like IDE/editors.



Supervisory Responsibilities:


This position has no supervisory responsibilities but may assign tasks to junior team members at Manager's discretion.


Work Environment:


Standard indoor working environment. Occasional long periods of sitting while working at computer. Position requires regular interaction with employees at all levels of the firm as well as interaction with external vendors and clients as necessary. Independent travel requirement: up to 10%.

Opportunities to Make an Impact
This development role will produce deliverables for use in all products in our Mainframe division teams, working directly for the Director of UI and UX strategy.Work collaboratively with our Product, UX, and Engineering teams to understand requirements, design, code and test innovative applications, and contribute to the strategic roadmap Build great user interfaces and experiences with our in house component library, used by all Broadcom's Mainframe software products.Work with leads to provide thought leadership and storytelling around how we may support the evolution of digital procurement tools through design.Analyzes, debugs and/or assists in problem-solving in both development and production environments.Actively support and contribute to end of iteration demos.

We are looking for an exceptional Sr. Front End Developer (React) - Remote to work with our cross-functional team and join our world-class community of talented experts. Core to this need are expertise in:

• 8+ front end web development experience, with a deep level of expertise in JavaScript and CSS (SASS)
• 3+ years of experience with React
