: Our Data Exchange team is growing and looking for a
Senior SQL Developer.
In this role, you will be part of a divisional IT team based in Rolling Meadows, IL with the ability to work nearly entirely remotely. The team develops enterprise caliber software applications on the Microsoft platform. You'll work under the leadership of a Manager with a Software Engineering background and will use modern practices and technologies to develop enterprise software. You'll work collaboratively with a talented group of Developers in a team environment.


Responsibilities
:

Directs, prepares, designs, codes, tests, debugs, and maintains complex computer programs Under general direction, formulates and defines system scope and objectives Works with users to support business applications, and investigate operational problems/system requirements Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results Refines business requirements from which programs will be written Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents those programs Responsible for completion of development projects Solves user inquiries that arise during day-to-day operation Develops business cases, requirements and performance metrics Work primarily on the database level as well as working on full stack developer projects.



Qualifications:


Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Business 5 or more years related experience, including the following Microsoft SQL Server 2016 and beyond Stored procedures, T-SQL, temp tables, database performance tuning Microsoft SSRS and Microsoft SSIS Data warehouse concepts and design patterns including star schema and snowflake database design, ETL processing
Experience with Microsoft Power BI, .NET and Azure nice to have Experience with automated unit testing and test-assisted development preferred Experience with agile software development methodologies Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley requirements nice to have Strong user and client relationship management skills Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface with a variety of levels of the organization, including both to a technical and non-technical audience. Self-starter with strong work ethic and ability to excel in fast paced, high demand environment Proven ability to independently manage tasks and priorities, accurately estimate work and meet deadlines

Responsibilities



Responsible for SQL Script development and creation of SSIS packages for ETL work. May write reports or facilitate data access by other means as needed, to include SSRS, PowerBI, etc. Conducts performance tuning and database design, dimensional analysis, and modeling. Maintain and add to an extensive set of SQL Server Integration Service (SSIS) packages for Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) data manipulation. Maintain, enhance, and create enterprise and application-level SQL Server Report Service (SSRS) and other Business Intelligence (BI) tools. If requested, the EDW team will leverage SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) for performance purposes. Supports the review of database systems from non-Concorde applications in other DEA offices Participates in daily Agile stand-up meetings and monthly planning sessions, sprint reviews, and retrospective sessions. Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications



Required to adhere to all government agency guidelines as it applies to COVID vaccine Attestation/Restrictions. Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum of eight (8) or more years of experience in the design, development and implementation of SQL Server databases creating and maintaining T-SQL Procedures, functions, packages and triggers. Minimum of two (2) or more years of experience with SSIS packages for data manipulation and loading. Minimum of two (2) or more years of experience with the latest SQL Server environment, (2012 or newer). Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others. Knowledge of, and experience within, an Agile development environment. Knowledge of, and ability to use, MS Team Foundation Server or Azure DevOPs Ability to write efficient SQL queries as well as demonstrated ability to interpret legacy scripts. Knowledge of, and prior experience with multi-dimensional data models. Ability to create reports with a solid understanding of a variety of BI data tools. Knowledge of, and prior experience with SSIS. Knowledge of Kimball data warehouse methodology highly desired. Knowledge of, and prior experience with Git and Python. Demonstrated ability and desire to learn new technologies.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Full-stack Developer (Node.js/SQL focused) to work on our next-generation, B2B, cloud-based products.The projects you will be working on are transforming our client's experience.

We are looking for people with an interest in:

* Strong collaboration is needed, working with our UX specialists, product specialists, SREs, and possibly our data scientists and machine learning engineers

Technology

At the back we are working with structured data, so are looking for someone with a good knowledge of SQL and querying relational databases. We are also working with JavaScript, React.

In the middle, we are using Node.js and limiting errors using Typescript. Experience of JSON, REST, RPC and GraphQL is interesting.

On the front-end, we are using React and Typescript and moving towards a micro-front-end architecture.

We deploy onto Google Cloud and have DevOps and SRE specialists to help us navigate the cloud landscape.

We prefer to avoid bugs so prefer TDD, BDD and pair/mob programming.

Whilst we are not there yet, we prefer Continuous Integration and plan to do Continuous Delivery.
