Required Skills and Education


We are actively seeking Technical Writers with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience. Bachelor's or Master's Degrees are preferred in one or more of the disciplines described below where specific skills may include the following:
Planning, developing, writing, and editing technical documents such as technical procedure manuals, user manuals, programming manuals, service manuals, operational specifications, and related technical publications to communicate clearly and effectively technical specifications and instructions to a wide range of audiences. Working with software development teams to gather data for developing and maintaining the needed product documentation. Using style guides and associated DoD/Mil-Standards for document production, and understanding customer requirements related to writing task assignments Using technical data and engineering specifications (drawings, A-level specifications, test procedures, etc.) or commercial sources to translate data into user documentation Conducting quality reviews of materials. Using a document management system to store, manage, and track program documentation Strong skills with MS Office

Employee shall maintain records and files of work and revisions; make edits to technical documentation, standardize the documentation and/or make changes to material prepared by software and systems engineers\.

**Basic Qualifications:**

• BS plus 2 years, AS plus 4, HS/GED plus 6 years

• Experience with technical writing, content design, information technology \(IT\), or coding/programming experience

• Experience with Customer engagement and research; stakeholder engagement

**Desired Skills:**

• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure capabilities

• 10+ years of experience with the following:
  • Working with defense and commercial companies in editing narrative and graphical products
  • Using Word processing, spreadsheet, and graphic design applications to produce test plans, procedures, reports, technical manuals, etc.
  • Creating, compiling, and delivering system/software developmental documentation packages
  • Experience following Military Standards
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI polygraph
• Active TS/SCI clearance is required
