Raloid Corporation is seeking a Sheet Metal Fabricator to support our production manufacturing facility whose mission is to fabricate machined and formed parts needed for the success of our armed forces both at home and abroad. Raloid is instrumental in the production of various components utilized on military aircraft, munitions, and missiles.
Pay Range: $20 - $28/hour


A Sheet Metal Fabricator at Raloid will be responsible for the fabrication of tight tolerance sheet metal panels, brackets, covers, enclosures, etc. These components may be made from aluminum, steel, and stainless steel. To be successful in this role you will be accustomed to building and inspecting parts utilizing manufacturing blueprints and have some knowledge of GD&T. You will be operate shears, a Mitsubishi laser cutter, and Amada Turret punches and brakes, in addition, to various supplementary hand tools.

**BAE Systems in San Diego is seeking a Craft Supervisor for our Sheet Metal Department.** The Craft Supervisor oversees the daily work performed in the Craft Supervisor s assigned Shop. Within this role, you will be responsible for assigning and monitoring the completion of work, as well as providing technical assistance, and generally managing the workforce within the Shop.
**Additional Responsibilities Include:**

+ The Craft Supervisor is expected to identify and ensure that appropriate actions are taken to support the timely and effective completion of assigned tasks. This includes ensuring that company policies and practices are followed in all phases of project performance and personnel-related functions, including but not limited to the hiring and supervision of employees, employee performance management, terminations, promotions and demotions.

Summary

Oversees the Pressroom in the areas of safety, product quality and production levels to assure the standards and goals of the company are being achieved.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

+ Supervise all pressroom manufacturing activities.

+ Attend production meetings and supports the planning, scheduling and coordinating of pressroom activities to fulfill sales orders with quality parts on time.

+ Coordinate support functions and remove obstacles to ensure continuous press operation.

+ Audit work and ensure corrective actions are followed through to completion.

+ Organize and prioritize all pressroom employee activity.

+ Responsible for the quality of all products produced in the pressroom and coordinate the resources available to resolve quality problems.

+ Study production efficiency reports and implement corrective actions as needed to optimize output; will also share performance reports with department employees on a daily/weekly basis to promote employee participation in optimization efforts.

+ Understands ERP system and be able to train and monitor employees to ensure all relevant production and timekeeping data is entered on time and correctly.

+ Ensure effective employee relations and resolve employee issues through conflict resolution.

+ Provide coaching, identify training needs and coordinate skill development.

+ Assist in employment decisions (hiring, discipline, terminations).

+ Prepare and conduct constructive employee performance evaluations.

+ Performs accident investigations, prepares reports and makes recommendations for improvements.

+ Communications with all departments on pressroom related issues.

Qualifications, Education and Experience
