PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The Teacher may be expected to:
Lift and carry children and equipment, 30lbs unassisted and 50lbs with assistance.
Capability to sit on the floor and stand up independently to interact with children.
Clean and maintain equipment and the center.
Take precautions to ensure the health and safety of all children, parents, and staff due to the potential exposure to anyone who may be ill and/or contagious.
Work in a busy and occasionally noisy environment where there may be a number of activities and situations happening at once.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Background check, fingerprinting, and drug test are required prior to hire date. Caring for children can be stressful. The Teacher must ensure that children are supervised at all times, and that children are involved in safe and appropriate activities. There may be a number of situations happening at once, and the Teacher must be prepared to handle accidents and emergencies at any time.

Ensures that all children have appropriate health records and screenings on file with the appropriate time period according to Sheltering Arms procedures (ASQ immunizations, health checks, EED, dental exam, etc.).
Coordinates and facilitates Healthy Beginnings meetings.
Provides support and resources to parents of children with special/mental health/health needs.
Ensures that any special nutritional needs of children are met.
Makes referrals and link children and families to needed community resources; follow-up on referrals made and outcomes to ensure the needs of families are met.
Select parents for participation in the Health and Wellness Advisory Committee.
Attends Health and Wellness Advisory Committee (HWAC) meetings.

Governance and Leadership Development
Effectively lead Board and Committee structures that align with an organization's strategic plan
Oversee creation and consistent delivery of Board orientations
Facilitate creation and documentation of an effective Leadership Development program in conjunction with Board so that a constant pipeline of emerging leaders is created and maintained
Create and maintain a nomination process that aligns with the strategic goals and focus of the organization
Identify skill gaps
Oversee proper voting process
Oversee a consistent Board self-assessment process
Execute and maintain required volunteer governance forms (anti-trust, confidentiality, conflict of interest, whistleblower, etc.)

Develop, present and manage the organization within an annual budget

Create and maintain an investment policy statement and all related reporting
Oversee an annual audit by an outside accounting firm

Conduct annual partnership survey and work with AH's CERO and client partner Board to respond to any reported concerns
Review client contract with all team members on a regular basis
Follow all document retention policies
Follow all file structure policies

Oversee all events and conferences

Maintain an understanding of all market segments and stakeholders

Perform timely annual performance reviews, conduct an annual review of each team member's job description
Proactively focus on succession planning for each role on the team

SIMULATION SPECIALIST PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Simulation Specialist role will be responsible for assisting the lead Simulation Manager in facilitating and managing both our middle school learning programs JA BizTown and JA Finance Park for 6th and 7th grade students. In this role, you will be required to utilize public speaking skills that translate effectively during training presentations for volunteer groups participating in our program. Along with facilitation skills that would effectively translate when providing instructional-based tasks and announcements on the microphone AV sound system within our facility. We are looking for candidates who can work in a fast-paced environment with challenges that will require you to make effective sound decisions. Candidates who can create innovative activities and projects that promote student and teacher engagement. Leaders who can set professional examples for our middle school students by facilitating teachable moments and valuable discussions. This role will provide a high level of customer service and teamwork support and we are looking for Individuals who are passionate about working with students and collaborative environments that promote a positive work culture.
Day to Day Operational Task:
Support program excellence by preparing daily simulation materials and technology and ensuring all student spaces are cleaned at the end of each day.
Assist with facilitating onsite volunteer training daily (60-90 minutes) and provide guidance throughout the simulation to 20-40 volunteers to help them coach students by applying their personal experiences within the simulation.
Assist with the orderly unloading and loading of buses upon arrival and departure, escort students into secure space, verify student numbers on arrival and departure.
Assist with the onsite engagement of up to 150 students per day by facilitating daily activities, coordinating daily simulation schedule and other logistics to ensure completion of simulation.
Deliver a consistent, high-quality, high-energy experience every day during the school year (approx. 175 days).
PROGRAM SUSTAINABILITY
Assist Simulation Manager by leading - co-leading our JA BizTown or JA Finance Park program. Leading or co-leading will require you to utilize public speaking skills to facilitate volunteer training and instructional tasks that will require the use of our microphone /AV speaker system.
Assist in the inventory tracking for all simulation resources (tablets, props, program materials, etc.).
Look for opportunities to support teammates and ask for support when needed to ensure that a high level of quality is maintained across all areas through communication and collaboration.
Provide technical support and troubleshoot common issues with simulation software and/or storefront technology.
Collect required program forms and complete daily reports in a timely manner.
Ensure that space is in a constant state of operational readiness through daily walk-throughs, observations and inspections.
Prep and reset ensure that program resources and all essential materials for students and volunteers are prepared and ready prior to arrival.
Utilize non-program days (i.e. summer) to innovate and elevate the current student programs, as well as strategize program growth.

Job Summary
The H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISyE) at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia, invites applications for multiple tenure-track faculty positions. Appointments can be made at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor ranks, commensurate with the individual's record. Applicants from all research areas relevant to the discipline will be considered.
Candidates are also expected to demonstrate an exceptional commitment to the teaching and mentoring of students.
ISyE faculty are expected to lead independent research at the cutting edge of their field and build a strong sponsored-research program. In addition, they are expected to contribute to both undergraduate and graduate teaching, as well as service to the school, institute, and profession.
