Summary: The Off-Season Laborer is responsible for assisting with maintenance, repairs, and preparation tasks during the waterpark's off-season. This role ensures that facilities, attractions, and grounds are properly maintained and ready for the upcoming operating season. In addition, the Off-Season Laborer will work on future projects within the park, including cleaning, painting, and grounds improvements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Grounds & Landscaping: Conduct minor repairs and maintenance on landscaping equipment. Safely operate hand tools and power mowers for trimming and maintaining grounds. Monitor property grounds to ensure a pleasant and well-kept appearance. Perform general labor tasks such as cleaning, painting, pressure washing, and minor repairs. Assist with winterization and de-winterization of waterpark attractions and equipment. Cleaning & Sanitation: * Responsible for the cleaning and general maintenance of park restrooms, office spaces, and other assigned indoor and outdoor areas of the park. * Clean and disinfect public and office areas on a scheduled rotating basis. * Respond to emergency clean-up situations, as needed. * Perform maintenance and upkeep for all restroom facilities. * Clean and sanitize all toilets, sinks, and counters. * Remove trash from all receptacles. * Clean and polish surfaces, windows, and furniture to ensure these surfaces remain free or dirt or residue. * Vacuum, mop, and/or sweep the floors, as needed. * Monitor and immediately escalate any damages or safety hazards to maintenance or leadership. Safety & Compliance: * Follow safety guidelines when using cleaning chemicals and equipment. * Ensure restrooms are cleaned and sanitized according to the IIPP checklist. General Responsibilities: * Work as part of a team to maintain cleanliness throughout the park. * Perform other duties as assigned to support park operations. Qualifications: * Minimum 18 years of age. * Basic knowledge of landscaping tools, gardening techniques, and pest management. * Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team. * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Education and Experience: Required: * High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred: * Previous experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or horticulture. Job Description PRIMARY FUNCTION: Perform manual labor in accomplishing many tasks for other craft. Assist other workers, usually of a higher level of expertise, by performing a variety of duties under close supervision. Will primarily perform manual labor with little skill required. Work involves standing and walking for extended periods of time. Ability to work in Confined Spaces. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Must be able to pass Labor proficiency testing at or above 70%. Must have six months or more of experience in construction/maintenance. Completed the Matrix Service Safety training, Client / Site specific training. To obtain and maintain an active status within the required drug testing program. Must Pass a Background Check.
