Purpose Statement
The Casting Associate is responsible for filling ice cream cake molds in an assembly line process, blending crunch, peanuts and other deco ingredients as assigned. Also maximizing product quality and achieving individual outputs to support team in meeting its production goals.
Key Accountabilities and Outcomes
* Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area in compliance with housekeeping safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements
* Adhere to GMP guidelines for personal practices regarding hygiene and cleanliness
* Evenly dispense ice cream and crunch into cake molds and attach cardboard bottom
* Blend crunch per SOP and recipe
* Rotate deco and casting ingredients per SOP and quality standards
* Place filled molds on conveyor belt for freezing
* De-mold blanks from molds for either pack-off or decoration.
* May be asked to rotate among all positions based on business needs.
* Meet established quality and production guidelines and standards
* Follows safety practices and identifies/corrects potential hazards
* Provide coverage in other departments when needed
* Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
* Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
* Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
* Ability to read, write, and communicate about work instructions and safety information written in English
* Must have the ability to write simple correspondence and effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, other employees in the organization and vendors.

Essential Functions

Current Asbestos physical clearances.
