Responsibilities:
Reads Production Cards for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances.
Reads other instructions such as special quality requirements, production rates, plastisol specifications and determines sequence of operations.
Adjusts process controls to proper setting to achieve part quality, production rates, etc.
Follow documented Procedures and Work Instructions as required to perform job functions.
Removes finished product with air or stripper bar.
Packages finished product at end of conveyor to packaging specifications called out on the Production Card.
Maintains proper machine settings throughout entire job run.
Responsible for quality of finished molded product.
Suggest any Continuous Improvement or Corrective Action activities and execute as required.

Key Responsibilities
Monitors processes to ensure compliance with food safety, regulatory and company compliance, including GMP, HACCP, and SOPs.
Collects microbiological and product samples for testing and evaluation.
Performs checks of product quality against specifications.

Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Willing and able to work overtime, weekends, on-call, rotating shifts, and holidays
Experience with reading blueprints and precision measurements
Troubleshooting experience
Experience using a computer for record keeping and documentation
Able to work in extreme heat/cold, navigate catwalks and ladders
Physical ability to perform the essential physical functions of the position, which includes climbing stair, navigating catwalks, lifting up to 50 pounds, stooping and bending
Ability to communicate effectively and constructively
Comprehension of complex work instructions and documentation
Ability to work with mathematical concepts in an industrial environment
Basic trade skills in industrial equipment repair and execution of routine preventative maintenance of heavy industrial equipment
Knowledge of Mig, Tig and Arc welding
Machinist training and experience
Stable employment history with a minimum two years of experience in Industrial Maintenance work OR equivalent education to include vocation/technical school certificate
A personal and total commitment to observe all safety rules and regulations
Knowledge of bearing installment, coupling, belts, sprockets and chain drive installations
Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
Basic knowledge of metal fabrication
Basic knowledge of cylinder repair
Working knowledge of basic industrial electricity issues

Preferred Qualifications
Vocational or technical school certificate in related area
Past employment experience in manufacturing environment
Past employment in a plywood or veneer manufacturing facility
Experience with CMMS
Knowledge of fire protection systems
Proficient in the use of hand and power tools and precision measuring and test instruments
Experienced in pneumatic, hydraulic and conveyor systems
Excellent skills in root cause analysis
Skilled in all aspects of mechanical maintenance
Team oriented
Willing and able to learn new jobs and skills
