Shift: 2:30 pm - 10:00 pm, Monday- Friday, OT as required Starting Pay: $18-$20 an hour, based on experience Job Summary: Responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate shipping, receiving, and movement of materials, supplies, and products. What you will do: * Ensure all work is performed with safety as the top priority. * Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against packing slips, and inspect for damage. * Unload trucks and move materials to appropriate storage or staging areas. * Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing shipments with accuracy and care. * Coordinate shipping schedules with carriers and internal departments. * Ensure proper documentation accompanies all shipments (e.g., bills of lading, customs forms). * Maintain inventory accuracy through proper labeling and storage of goods. * Use forklift, pallet jack, or other equipment to move heavy materials safely. * Perform regular inventory counts and cycle checks. * Maintain a clean, organized shipping and receiving area. * Operate within a warehouse management or ERP system for order tracking and inventory updates. * Follow all company procedures, safety regulations, and quality standards. * Handle documentation filing and digital record-keeping accurately. * Support continuous improvement initiatives within the shipping and warehouse processes. * Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). * Carry out physical demands of the job, including lifting, bending, and standing. * Assist in training new team members as required. * Other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications/ Skills/ Knowledge: * Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and labels. * Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order processing. * Basic computer proficiency (MS Outlook, Excel, data entry). * Capable of handling time-sensitive materials and meeting shipping deadlines. * Understanding of workplace safety, WHMIS, and material handling best practices. * High school diploma or equivalent required. * Forklift certification an asset. * Experience in a shipping/receiving or warehouse environment is an asset. * Experience working with ERP or inventory systems preferred. * Knowledge of freight carriers, shipping practices, and logistics coordination. Create yearly blanket purchase orders for commodities supplied to company's domestic manufacturing plants and third‐party manufacturers. Generate forecasts for commodities purchased for the US and/or global operations. Perform comparative analysis on forecasts, actuals and contracts for global purchases to provide timely and comprehensive information about inventory, contract balances, and production changes. Offer recommendations to management to move volumes and/or increase contracts to avoid supply issues. Escalate issues suppliers may have about the forecasts. Ensure compliance to company policies and procedures and manage audit readiness metrics. Act as the liaison between company and suppliers when deliveries are late or on hold. Coordinate necessary actions to ensure material delivery, including expediting delivery from alternate sources.
