Document inspection results, discrepancies, and measurements accurately, preparing clear reports for internal teams and management. Lead the identification and communication of deviations or defects, facilitating prompt resolution through collaboration with cross-functional teams. Operate hand tools and power tools for inspection, adjustments, or minor repairs as needed. Assess warranty parameters to determine if parts qualify for return, replacement, or further action. Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with internal audits and process enhancements. Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors to uphold quality standards and operational excellence. Basic Qualifications Minimum 3 years of formal experience in a QA role in a manufacturing/production environment. Proven experience reading blueprints, engineering drawings, Bills of Material, and Certified Data Sheets. Experienced in using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality. Effective communication skills for documenting findings and collaborating with team members. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: -Conducts D1.1 and D1.3 testing for new hires or the recertification of welders as needed -Participate in the creation of welding procedures and welding techniques standardizing welding to D1.1 and D1.3 specifications -Participates in the selection of new welding equipment in conjunction with the weld council and participates in welding equipment calibration and preventative maintenance activities -Provide support as a CWI as required to verify, validate and approve welding -Weld training specifications -Weld equipment specifications and implementation -Responsible for the ongoing calibration of welding equipment as identified in the Calibration System -Participates in the weld audit process to verify that the welding procedures are as specified and are qualified, and that welding is performed as required to the applicable procedure. -Partner with the supervisory team to identify welders who need specific training or upskilling. -Provide necessary assistance to welders who do not meet minimum quality and efficiency requirements so they again meet/exceed quality and efficiency levels -Maintain records, inspection results, and welder performance documentation -Evaluates new developments in the industry for possible application to processes. -Work independently with little supervision while still delivering excellent results on time. This role will be producing inspections of machined/fabricated parts by programming, setting up, and operating coordinate measuring machine (CMM); maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies. Essential Job Functions: Program and operate CMM to effectively measure products to meet customer specifications. Program and operate other equipment to effectively measure products to meet customer specifications.
