Job Description Oversee the production operators. Ensure that manufacturing process remains a smooth and efficient process by monitoring machine operators. THIS IS A WORKING TEAM LEAD ROLE. Essential Functions : Setup and operate CNC and manual equipment when applicable. Read and comprehend blueprints in accordance with GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing) standards. Responsible for daily / hourly production scheduling and workflow schedules. Identifies issues in efficiencies and suggest improvements. Review operator's equipment to ensure it is safe to use. Partners with Manufacturing Supervisor in determining work production schedules Enforce all safety/PPE rules. Check finished products to ensure quality, and that industry standards are met before they are declared ready for use. Complete first piece inspections Accurately complete applicable job travelers and inspection reports. Set up and perform secondary operations such as milling, drilling and deburring. Motivate workers to enhance production quantity and at the same time maintain high production standards Other duties as required, necessary Qualifications Education: High School diploma or equivalent Experience : Two to three years manufacturing operations Knowledge of : Manufacturing tools and machines (lathes, mills and grinders) Solid understanding and ability to read blueprints Microsoft office products JobBoss Basic to Intermediate math Additional Information Physical Demands/Qualifications Occasional stooping, kneeling, or crouching Occasional talking and hearing Constant standing and walking Regular use of hands Frequent use of hands and arms to reach Must be able to lift and carry 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
