Temporary Description The Theater & Music Specialist is responsible for creating safe, age-appropriate, adaptive programming that is focused on music & drama for campers aged 8-17 years old. This staff member will create dynamic and detailed lesson plans for Theater & Music program areas, and will be responsible for supervising volunteers each session. Team Overview: The Program Team brings the camp experience to life by creating programs, building community and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all camp participants. The team creates accessible and developmentally appropriate programs and recruits, processes, and supports a large team of volunteers and seasonal staff. In adherence with laws and camp governing bodies; they develop, plan and implement camp emergency procedures and policies. Responsibilities: Attend Seasonal Staff Training (May 18-29, 2026) Design and implement outcomes-driven programming for the Theater & Music and other program areas as needed Modify and adapt activities in response to weather and to meet medical, psychosocial, accessibility, and other camper needs to ensure an inclusive experience Enforce all Theater & Music program safety rules Ensure all supplies are safely stored and maintained Collaborate with supervisor and the Program Coordinator in the preparation, purchase order, and record-keeping of inventory of supplies in assigned areas Support, lead, and evaluate spotlight volunteers Submit weekly Theater & Music plans to supervisor Assist the Cabin Life team with maintaining appropriate supervision of campers, including providing overnight coverage in cabins as needed Requirements Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience Ability to move across camp grounds and between buildings and activity areas multiple times each day Ability to coordinate a multi-faceted program for campers aged 8-17 years with varying physical and developmental abilities Ability to create an outcomes-based curriculum for assigned program area Responsible for the safety and supervision of all participants in their care Confidence in public speaking and leading large groups Ability to live on site Ability to support with program set up and tear down (including movement of materials up to 50 lbs.) Preferred Skills, Qualifications & Experience Experience with video or audio equipment. Experience using video or audio editing platforms. JOB DETAILS: Music Consultant-AT Risk Youth (Remote) Phoenix, AZ - Juvenile Corrections /Education 2 - Looking for a music teacher with extensive knowledge on music production and engineering for at risk youths in Arizona correction facility. Skills Required: In-depth industry knowledge of music production and engineering Artist influence (personal, professional and external interactions) Artistry of music and how to apply (composition), sound designing Effect on music (emotions, livelihood, mental health, influence) Ability to interact with “at risk” youth as part of the expressive music recording process Quality audio output and multimedia applications in the skilled production of music Business and careers (Professional career insight on contracts, branding, appropriate negotiation skills and music ownership/retainment) Skills Preferred: Complete knowledge of music, music theory Patience and understanding in guidance/consulting Knowledge of and/or experience with juvenile delinquency, at-risk youth Strong background and history of components and tools required to build out and sustain a high performing Studio, including identifying possible continuing educational opportunities for identified internal staff Effective and appropriate communication and organizational skills Work Experience Required: Experience in working directly with “at-risk” youth Communication (unbiased advice and critical feedback) and organizational skills Teaching and Coaching experience in music (At least 3 years of experience) Focus on 1:1 training and skill building with identified internal staff Work Experience Preferred: At least 10 years of music industry experience as a producer and engineer.
