    The Department of Kinesiology at Michigan State University invites applications for a fixed-term faculty position (non-tenure-track) at the assistant professor rank, slated to begin in August 2025. Designation B is a multi-year contract appointment predicated on exemplary instructional performance. Fixed-term faculty members attaining Designation B status will receive a contract for no less than three years (typically, 5 years) for the UNTF teaching portion of their assignment and a potential raise in their base salary. Beyond attaining Designation B status, fixed-term faculty members can also pursue advancement through the academic ranks (i.e., promotion to Associate Professor - Fixed-Term and Professor - Fixed-Term) following established evaluation and review procedures.
