Reporting to the Automation Manager the SMT Test Engineer - 1st Shift, will be responsible for implementing and maintaining cost-effective methods of test for PCBA, Systems, Software, and/or Equipment. Will be focused on back end and testing of the existing manufacturing line. What a typical day looks like: Responsible for implementing solutions on critical items to propose to the customers and to keep in good health the failure inventories of the Repair, RMA and Manufacturing process. Interfaces and confers with engineering and technical personnel to resolve testing problems such as product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data, data interpretation or coding issues. Analyzes and interprets test data and prepares technical reports for use by electronic or software engineering. Perform PCBA and System level fault isolation/failure analysis down to component level. Uses computer software and hardware to conduct tests on electronic products and systems. Trains and instructs floor support, test technicians and test operators on test hardware and/or software, as well as proper problem-solving techniques. Resolves test yield problems by performing analysis of root causes, developing and coordinating corrective action measures and monitoring improvements. Create and maintain process documentation. Actively search for new technologies or procedures in the test sector. Determines conditions under which tests are to be conducted and sequences and phases of test operations The experience we're looking to add to our team, Bachelor's degree in electrical or electronic engineering (ideal/optional) - or - equivalent work experience (see below). 2+ years of industry work experience in SMT test engineering from electronic device manufacturing company/industry or related. Demonstrated ability to perform in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.     The Software Engineer I is an entry-level engineer who works with a team of Software Engineers to design, develop, test, commission, and provide ongoing support of TGW software solutions. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborates with developers and functional subject matter experts (SMEs) to deliver high quality, successful implementations that meet the customer's expectations Writes C# and Java code to meet functional and technical specifications.
