Software integrator engineers are responsible for developing the integration of software programs across various programming platforms, such as JAVA, NET, C++, and others. They often work with software development teams and local customers and define system specifications, input/output processes, and hardware or software compatibility. Software integrator engineers are involved in the design analysis of software programs so that they integrate with specific systems and offer technical support during software preparation, installation, and system maintenance.
These individuals also create technical documentation, manage code integration, build next-generation operating systems, and upgrade integrated computer interfaces. Software integrator engineers also develop testing tools for integration programs, assist in new tool development, and help train team members, staff, and end-users on how to use software programs and platforms. These individuals typically work in an office environment during a normal work week but may need to travel to conduct training classes.
