Craig Technologies is excited to lead the way in hypersonic missile development, and we want you to be a part of it! We are creating the first hypersonic boost/glide system for the US Army and Navy here on the Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) program, and our NGC-SW Integrated Product Team (IPT) is responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and verifying the algorithms and software that control it. Our group includes the Navigation, Guidance, and Control (NG&C or GN&C) subsystem, which flies the missile and glide body, and the embedded Flight Software (FSW) which hosts the NG&C algorithms and provides health, status, and sequencing for the entire system. Additionally, we develop and maintain the Flight Software testbeds (HILs or HWILs) which provide complete hardware integration testing with feedback and flight simulation to test the NG&C algorithms and flight software. Our integrated release managers, also called our mission thread leads, combine the mindset of a systems engineer and architect with the planning and coordination skills of a software release manager to bring together the architecture, requirements, designs, testing, and most importantly, the plan to develop and release the NG&C and software products. This is an exciting and crucial role within our team and we hope you will consider joining us. We are looking for an energetic, curious, and systems-focused engineer to serve as an Integrated Release Manager for one of our upcoming flight tests. This will require developing a deep understanding of the mission and building meaningful relationships with our customers and industry partners, to create a continuous thread from the top-level flight objectives to the qualification and release of the NG&C subsystem and Flight Software. Additionally, this position will be responsible for guiding the team leaders within our IPT to transform the top-level roadmap into an executable plan, helping to close gaps, remove impediments, and coordinate external handoffs. Finally, this position will oversee the IPT as they implement the plan, responding to external requests and adapting to new discoveries, to ensure we meet our release milestones and ultimately support a flight test for one of the fastest missile systems in existence today. This is a technical leadership role and will not be responsible for the direct management of other team members.
Key responsibilities: • Head up the creation and maintenance of a cohesive flight test roadmap for NG&C, Flight Software, and Testbeds from early design through post-flight analysis • Set up detailed planning efforts across the IPT Project Engineers, Product Managers, and Product Owners to ensure the roadmap is translated into an achievable, resource-loaded schedule • Connect multi-discipline communities to close gaps, analyze subsystem performance, and develop trades to incorporate new capabilities and opportunities • Support execution team as they implement the plan by coordinating team efforts, tracking progress against the plan, and adjusting the plan to account for changes and new information Additional responsibilities • Regularly connect with IPT and senior program leadership to ensure the IPT roadmap aligns with program objectives and milestones • Develop authentic, trust-based relationships with the larger systems team and customer technical community to ensure the NG&C and FSW designs support the overall solution • Integrate with the systems verification and test teams to ensure successful subsystem testing and system verification readiness and support • Support the technical leads and their teams in translating the IPT roadmap and objectives into lower-level features with clear success criteria • Coordinate preparation and participation in program reviews, including design reviews, manufacturing reviews, test reviews, and post-test analysis

Key responsibilities: • Head up the creation and maintenance of a cohesive flight test roadmap for NG&C, Flight Software, and Testbeds from early design through post-flight analysis • Set up detailed planning efforts across the IPT Project Engineers, Product Managers, and Product Owners to ensure the roadmap is translated into an achievable, resource-loaded schedule • Connect multi-discipline communities to close gaps, analyze subsystem performance, and develop trades to incorporate new capabilities and opportunities • Support execution team as they implement the plan by coordinating team efforts, tracking progress against the plan, and adjusting the plan to account for changes and new information Additional responsibilities • Regularly connect with IPT and senior program leadership to ensure the IPT roadmap aligns with program objectives and milestones • Develop authentic, trust-based relationships with the larger systems team and customer technical community to ensure the NG&C and FSW designs support the overall solution • Integrate with the systems verification and test teams to ensure successful subsystem testing and system verification readiness and support • Support the technical leads and their teams in translating the IPT roadmap and objectives into lower-level features with clear success criteria • Coordinate preparation and participation in program reviews, including design reviews, manufacturing reviews, test reviews, and post-test analysis
Basic Qualifications: • Aerospace, embedded software, or similar technical experience, particularly at the subsystem or system level • Desire and ability to grow trust-based relationships with customers and other stakeholders • Demonstrated success planning and executing technical projects • Proven interpersonal skills in a larger, multi-team team environment • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top-Secret clearance
Desired Skills: • Solid technical background in Software, GN&C, and/or Embedded Systems development related to aerospace, robotics, automotive, or a similar field • Demonstrated experience across the development lifecycle of complex systems, ideally related to space and missiles • Experience coordinating and working with large, distributed teams, including external companies and government organizations • Demonstrated understanding and application of Systems Engineering and a Systems Thinking mindset • Experience with Agile (SAFe, Scrum, etc.) planning and execution and tools, such as Jira • Ability to support the finance team in developing budgets and reporting cost, schedule, and technical metrics • Demonstrated ability to clearly articulate complex technical and programmatic issues to team members, other technical teams, management, and customers • Understanding of software baseline control and change management • Experience with GN&C or similar flight science analysis • Experience integrating and verifying embedded software with hardware • Active DoD Secret or Top-Secret clearance
