The Software Test Analyst will develop and execute automated/manual test scripts for Black Knight's Optimal Blue division. Also provides quality practices, quality audits and software measurements to product development or operations teams within the division and to clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops, maintains, and upgrades automated test scripts, utilities, simulators, data sets and other programmatic test tools required to execute test plans.Perform usability testing for total system performance, reliability, scalability, and security.Effectively communicates testing activities and findings in oral and written forms.Controls and manages own daily test activities.Provides internal quality assurance.Supports Test Lead to identify risks and develops mitigation strategies.Organizes and maintains the test script library.Performs other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.Requires 6+ years of software testing experience.Experience working with Microsoft technologies such as .NET and C#.Experience in API testing using Postman.

Term: Long-term Contract (1 year+)

Rate / Salary: $52.50 W2, $57.50 CTC/1099, $100K W2

Please send resume in Word format if you are interested in this Mobile Software Application Tester/Analyst role with our government client in Merrifield, VA 22082. This position is currently on a REMOTE basis due to the pandemic and may return to onsite in the coming months. The position will pay an hourly rate of $52.50/HR (W2), $57.50/HR (CTC, 10-99) or an annual salary of $100K (W2).

Due to the required clearance with our government client, only US Citizens, Green Card and Green Card EAD holders may be considered. Clearance requires that the candidates have resided in the US for the past five years. The selected candidate cannot have left the country for longer than 90 consecutive days and no more than 180 cumulative days.



We are currently seeking a Mobile Software Tester/Analyst to work out of their clients Merrifield, VA office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Candidate will provide software system testing support, verification of code and certification that all deliverables meet customer requirements and are free of software defects and/or bugs across the systems development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Candidate will also provide technical support and advice to developers on effective system testing techniques
  • Candidate will work closely with software engineers and other project team members to successfully test and assess ongoing development within demanding schedules, as well as, produce test cases and other Postal project documentation
  • Candidate will design and prepare test plans and related test case scenarios based on documented, and sometimes undocumented, system requirements and/or business rules. This may include positive and negative test cases, regression test case procedures and documentation for simple to complex business functionality
  • Candidate will also devise and apply testing procedures and provide test completion estimates.
  • Candidate will create and maintain the documentation of test cases and test results and participate in defect reviews to see that quality criteria are upheld
  • Candidate will enter and manage defects in an automated defect tracking system ensuring that all defects are entered with adequate information to assist developers in reproducing the problem, as well as, working with the development teams to identify the root cause of the problems


Qualifications and Experience:

Required-

Bachelors degree plus 8 years of professional service or a combination of education and professional service

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to formulate and document detailed test plans and reports for the systems in comprehensive, quantitative and qualitative terms appropriate for comparative analysis
  • Candidate should have the ability to provide organization, communication and leadership to the local team members while effectively interacting with staff, and staff from other contractors, across multiple areas of the country
  • Candidate should be able to learn quickly; have the ability to accomplish tasks under limited supervision; possess a strong attention to detail; have a willingness to work in an organization committed to high quality products and customer service and have a strong ability to work as a contributing project team member
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

Security Requirements

  • Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
  • Must be able to obtain and keep a Sensitive Clearance
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder and have been living in the U.S. for at least the last five years
  • Must not have traveled outside of the United States for more than 180 days in the last five years
  • All candidates will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and drug screening per our client's requirements.
