Job Summary:
The DC Power Technician is a technician roll that provides DC Power and infrastructure services across multiple platforms. Technical responsibilities include working with a team to install various configurations of DC power including installation, maintenance of primary and secondary DC power systems. Travel may be required. All travel expenses paid, prearranged and booked by the company.

**Position Overview**
The position requires leveraging solar industry experience across all company projects through various stages of the project life cycle, estimating, engineering and construction. Responsible for helping draft and periodically update Solar Standard Operating Procedures as well as audit projects for compliance with the SOPs.
**District Overview**
TIC Power (TICP) provides direct-hire construction services for Power Generation utilizing a non-union craft force. TIC Power builds major EPC power plant projects throughout North America.

**Responsibilities**
• Ensure that projects are adhering to discipline SOPs, implementing previous Lessons Learned, documenting new Lessons Learned, audit for compliance.
• Provide overall consistency across projects
• Review discipline design basis and site layouts for constructability, flaws in assumptions, or specific risks unique to the estimate.
• Review client and vendor-provided documentation (drawings, data sheets, install manuals) and verify it is consistent with the estimated design assumptions and current SOPs.
• Ensure that construction and design Lessons Learned are getting back to the estimate teams and being accurately implemented in the estimates.
• Facilitate coordination between construction site, design office, and estimating. Be a filter for field requests.
• Maintain focus on releasing Long Lead EE & PM packages to meet the construction schedule.
• Assist in reviewing OEM proposals and contract scopes. Maintain a close working relationship with OEM vendors to quickly resolve technical and commercial issues.
• Train & mentor estimators, engineers, and site supervisors on the nuances of racking pre-fabrication, assembling various racking systems and module manufacturer combinations, discipline SOPs, and the critical aspects to being successful installing solar trackers and modules.
• Review project schedules for errors in logic/durations/procurement lead times.
• Support scheduling/sequencing/planning job operations.
• Check for clashes or scope gaps between construction disciplines
• Perform monthly cold eye reviews for 2-3 operations per project. Publish findings report to review with project management.
**Qualifications**
• 10+ years' experience in the construction industry, with at least 7 years in the PV Solar industry, preferably with first-hand knowledge of PV tracker systems and module installations.
• Advanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, engineering drawings, and other documents.
