About The Role:
The Account Executive reports to a National Account Director and supports the operations and growth of existing accounts by leveraging Spot's services and freight solutions to nurture relationships and build lasting partnerships. This role requires excellent communication skills, a service-oriented approach, and a strong work ethic.
Account Executives are responsible for executing internal operations, communicating with the customers, carriers, and developing, maintaining, and growing relationships. This is a non-exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act and, as such, is overtime eligible.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Manage client operational relationships and day-to-day operations between customers, carriers, and the company by ensuring customer satisfaction, addressing carrier inquiries, and developing and executing problem resolution.
* Serve as a direct avenue of clear communication for carriers and the internal carrier sales by developing, operating, maintaining, and growing assigned accounts.
* Ensure consistent operations and load management with internal Spot stakeholders, as dictated by customer needs; up to and including coordination with Spot teams in Carrier Account Management, Carrier Services, and Logistics.
* Tracking and tracing booked shipments, as needed.
* Answering incoming calls, auditing load information, and entering load data when booking loads.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree preferred, previous sales or customer service experience desirable.
* Logistics industry knowledge preferred.
* Proven track record of successful customer support.

Job Duties
Sell select products in a geographical territory and/or assigned accounts.
May work in a team approach and assist other sales positions with territory management and communication.
Participate in corporate and local campaigns.

Minimum Qualifications
Less than 2 years related experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license, good driving record, and the ability to safely operate lift trucks for product demos.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business management, marketing, entrepreneurship, professional selling, or related business program is a plus.
Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
