What you will do :

  • Operate the board scrambler at the stacker
  • Operator will keep a supply of boards for the stacker operator
  • Operator will remove mi9s-sorted lumber, broken pieces and keep boards single layered and flat
  • Inspect, adjust, clean, or lubricate equipment as preventive maintenance. Tear down, replace, repair, install, and assemble equipment, parts, components, and accessories.
  • Adjust mechanisms such as feed, speed, power input, or output.
  • Operate various mechanical and electronic test equipment.
  • Specific knowledge of pumps, conveyer systems, motors, and drives is required in the performance of regular or assigned duties.
  • Remain current in technical changes or equipment designs by attending classes as needed
  • Work rotating shifts, holidays, weekends, and overtime as scheduled or required.
  • Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment and completing all required training.
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience you will need:

  • Minimum High School or GED required
  • Experience with the precision alignment of motors, couplings, bearings, and pumps
  • Experience troubleshooting issues with bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, and conveyors
  • Experience reading blueprints
  • Two (2) years or more of experience installing, trouble shooting and repairing heavy equipment
  • Experience with fabrication, cutting with a torch, and welding with an arc welder
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • A combination of higher education and experience will be taken into consideration
  • Eligible to legally work in the United States without employer sponsorship
  • Willing and able to work a 10-hour rotating schedule which will include nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Willing and able to work on an emergency call-in basis as required
  • Ability to work as part of a team and deliver value to the team
  • Willingness and ability to cross-train to learn new jobs and skills
  • Consistent, predictable attendance

**Position: 3rd Shift Corrugator Stacker**

**Pay Rate** : ($24.88) plus .30 cent shift differential

**Sign-on and Retention Bonus** : $500 after 30 days,

$500 after 6 months,

$500 after 1 year and an additional bonus at 2 years

**Category/Shift** : Hourly Full-Time (11pm - 7am - Monday-Friday)

**The Job You Will Perform:**

Specific responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

+ Safely, operating machinery

+ The ability to practice housekeeping

+ Reading factory orders

+ Setting up orders, which may include carrying tooling (i.e. ink buckets, print dies and cutting dies) to a machine center.

+ Utilizing basic shop math such as: accurately reading tape measures, gauges and other testing equipment.

+ Consistent quality and count inspection of a product.

+ Accurately completing quality and administrative document checks to ensure specific directions are followed.

+ Candidates must have the ability to work overtime as they are needed.

Applicants must have a stable work history, good attendance record, positive attitude and a desire to produce quality work as part of a team:

_Preferred qualifications_ for consideration are a high school degree (or G.E.D.), and two years of work experience in a manufacturing environment with at least one year with the same employer.

_Highly-qualified_ candidates would possess manufacturing experience in the corrugated industry.

Stacker Operator

Responsible for all activities associated with stacking sheets from the corrugator including setup, operation, cleanup, and recommending improvements to operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Relay messages to proper personnel promptly regarding necessary adjustments.

Assist Converting crew as assigned by supervisor.

Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs. Be proactive in the maintenance of equipment.

Adhere to production schedule.

Place protective top and bottom sheets and insert tie sheets when applicable.

Count and verify unit and inch counts of units.

Insure proper load tags are in each unit.

Learn to read converting lineups.

Restack, flip stack, and handband units as necessary.

Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.

Additional duties may be assigned by management.

Requirements:

EDUCATION and or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED.

Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy. Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate. Able to apply concepts of high school math.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form. Ability to deal with problems involving one or more concrete variables in standardized situations.

Must be able to work at a fast pace
