Job Summary: The Endo Tech assists endoscopy team during endoscopy procedures. They arrange and inventory sterile set-up for operation and passes items as needed to the endoscopy team. Assists in preparing and moving patients, and in cleaning the endoscopy room. The Certified Endoscopy Technician serves as a member of the healthcare team and provides technical support to the surgeon, endoscopy nurse, and anesthesiologist in the procedure room. The Endoscopy Tech assumes appropriate responsibilities in the intraoperative area by preparing and maintaining the instruments and equipment used in endoscopic procedures including calibration of endoscopes and other related equipment according to facility standards. They may also assist the RN circulator, setting up and breaking down endoscopic procedures, pulling and putting away supplies and equipment, and environmental service duties. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure proper supplies, equipment, and instruments are ready for use. Ensure patient, procedure, operative site, positioning and equipment correspond.
