Position Summary
The Sterile Processing Tech is responsible for processing incoming supplies and equipment. Performs cleaning, decontamination and sterilizing duties, prepares packs of supplies, prepares supplies for all surgery cases, linens, and instruments in Sterile Processing as directed. Must be extremely conscientious with regard to procedures and capable of working under pressure and interacting professionally with all departments.
EDUCATION

Supervisor, Sterile Processing
Provides oversight and local operations supervision of the Sterile Processing Department (SPD) supporting Surgical Services, various nursing units, and off-site clinics. Ensures coordinated and timely delivery of reprocessed items to clinical stakeholders within the health care organization. Ensures local facility sterilization and High Level Disinfection (HLD) functions comply with all regulatory requirements. Supervises SPD personnel and serves as liaison between SPD and other departments. Maintains effective interdepartmental relationships, coordinates and resolves problems, and ensures cooperation with other programs and services. In conjunction with Assistant Surgical Services Director, manages the overall SPD budget including determining resource needs, allocation resources and ensuring proper utilization in productivity, efficiency and cost effectiveness of SPD operations. Responsibilities
* Performs duties as assigned including but not limited to the following: Assists in the inspection and indicated cleaning of the room prior to the procedure.
* Assists in collection of necessary equipment and supplies utilizing the surgeon's procedure card. Maintains aseptic technique throughout all phases of work.
* Assembles instruments and supplies on table and mayo stand.
* Performs counts with the circulating nurse.
* Assists in the draping of the operative site.

Batash Endoscopic Weight Loss is seeking a part time endoscopic technician / circulator to join our team in Miami. Batash is a leading provider in endobariatrics and of non-surgical weight loss procedures.
This is a part-time role. The schedule and hours are set according to business needs.
Responsibilities:
Assist during endoscopic weight loss procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Reprocess endoscopic instruments and equipment following established protocols.
Assists with equipment management by troubleshooting and following-up on all equipment issues.
Collaborate effectively with the medical team to provide high-quality patient care.
Prepare and maintain endoscopy suites before, during, and after procedures.
Monitor and document patient vitals and procedure details.
Provide education and support to patients regarding their procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
Previous experience in GI procedural assistance and/or reprocessing.
Strong ability to work collaboratively within a medical team.
Ability to follow and apply the practice's existing clinical and administrative guidelines and procedures (no exceptions);
Certificate of Medical Assistant training or equivalent is a plus;
Heartsaver Certification from American Heart Association and/or BCLS is a plus.
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in an accredited Ambulatory Surgical Center or Office Based Surgery center is preferred.
Relevant licenses or certifications are a plus.
