Responsibilities: • Operate and maintain sterilization equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and facility policies. • Clean, decontaminate, and sterilize medical instruments and equipment using appropriate cleaning agents and techniques. • Inspect equipment for damage or wear and report any defects to the supervisor. • Sort and wrap supplies according to protocols for sterilization using proper technique and materials. • Ensure all sterile supplies are labeled and dated for use, and verify that all sterilization parameters have been met. • Participate in infection control programs by ensuring proper handling and storage of sterile medical supplies. • Maintain accurate records of sterilization loads and quality control testing results. • Follow all safety procedures to prevent exposure to potentially infectious materials. • Uphold departmental standards and comply with all state and federal regulations. Qualifications: • High School Diploma or equivalent. • Possess certification(s) from a nationally recognized credentialing agency for Central Service or Sterile Processing. • Minimum of two year of related work experience. • Excellent communication and organizational skills. • Must have strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities. • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
