UNLOADING
The truck bumps the dock and after securing the trailer, rolls are taken off the truck.
Each roll is scanned as they are being unloaded from the truck and before they are placed in the warehouse.
Ensure product is good quality and no damage as it is stored.
Proper paper work must be maintained for all loading/unloading processes.
Responsible for the unloading of Latex and Raw Glass trucks.
Report any damage to the Shipping Manager immediately.
LOADING
The truck bumps the dock and after securing the trailer, verify with driver the order number and/or destination.
Use computer to pull the order/pick plan.
Get the Tare Weight from Shipping Manager
Load the rolls on cradles and/or blocking as needed.
Maximize the shipping weight without exceeding the DOT maximum.
Pick plans/ roll numbers are transferred to Shipping Manager for completion of BOL.

Each trailer will be weighed in before unloading and must be weighed in after unloading is complete
All the weights have to be printed and recorded making sure the volumes will fit in the storage tanks.
Hoses are connected between the trailer and appropriate pump, depending on where it is going. This may require using tools and/or fittings to properly connected
Some products may require a sample be taken to QC for verification BEFORE proceeding with unload
Once the trailer is emptied, all connections must be removed making sure there is no spillage.
Clean the area thoroughly after unload is complete

Serve as part of the team who builds and delivers Bookjoy as a Warehouse Lead. You are part of a dedicated team in an active environment where your daily activities of building a book fair include working safely, learning, demonstrating proficiency and meeting all productivity and quality requirement of your essential duties and responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Expertise/Functional:
1. Demonstrates ability to lead warehouse team, ensuring maximum efficiency in both daily tasks as well as special projects within the branch.
2. May prepare daily associate work/task assignments and assist BM/WHS with production planning.
3. In conjunction with Branch Inventory Coordinator (BIC), monitor inventory levels of all product and materials to avoid out-of-stock situations.
4. Demonstrate verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead other employees.
5. Consistently meet minimum required production, accuracy, and quality standards for all work performed.
6. Follow all safety policies, processes, and procedures at all times.
7. Ensure work area is neat, clean, safe, and organized at all times.
8. May operate motorized pallet jacks upon successful completion of the SBF powered equipment program.
9. At any time may perform other duties or tasks associated with other position descriptions as part of individual and team development.

* Responsible for execution of all operational processes in support of BM/WHS
* Demonstrates ability to perform supervisory tasks (excluding formal performance management) in temporary absence of warehouse supervisor/manager or during seasonal peaks when extended flex shifts are required.

* Ability to independently recognize, problem solve, and respond to issues per operational standards.
* Share knowledge by training and mentoring peers on operations tasks.
* Support BM/WHS to train, coach, mentor, and motivate warehouse team.

1. Maintain a professional and positive relationship with all co-workers and customers.
2. Maintain compliance with drug and alcohol-free policy.

* High School Diploma or GED Certificate preferred.
* Ability to demonstrate basic product scanner proficiency (i.e., ordering replenishment) effectively with minimal errors.

* Good verbal/written communication skills, basic math skills, and ability to read documents in English, such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.
* Good interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and direct other employees.
* Forklift experience is a plus (If certified - must be at least 18 years of age).
