What you'll be doing:
Unload soiled products from trucks
Separate products by type
Weigh soiled products and hoist/store until next process
Handle reductions and/or modifications to the customer's account (either adding or removing product)
Follow all safety policies, HACCP and medical guidelines
Perform other duties as described by area supervisor or management
What we're looking for:
High school education and/or GED equivalent preferred
Must be at least 16 years of age or older
Must be at least 18 years of age or older to operate machinery
Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift
Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly with management
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and push carts up to 40lbs.
Ability to perform basic mathematical operations using American standard units of weight measurement, volume, and distance

Job Summary

The dock worker position directly impacts the reliability of deliveries to customers.
Primary Responsibilities
+ Load and unload freight on trailers using a motorized forklift, pallet jack or manually in compliance with state and federal DOT guidelines. Use various loading techniques, such as loading tight or cross loading.
+ Transport self and/or freight continuously throughout the service center on non-forgiving surfaces.
+ Utilize Dock Yard Management System to consistently monitor freight shipment locations throughout the service center.
+ Read and interpret shipping labels. Familiarity with, and in some cases ability to complete the various forms utilized in freight movement such as shipping orders, city stripping manifests, freight bills, overage/damage movement reports and exception forms.
+ Hand load, rewrap or stack freight as necessary.
+ Insure the quality loading of all trailers.
+ Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies (e.g. pallets, straps, rope).
+ Frequent contact with service center personnel; fast-pace and deadline oriented.
+ This is not an all-inclusive list of job responsibilities and duties. Employees are expected and must be able to perform all duties and tasks assigned.

This could involve for example moving 100lb containers to and from floor level to carts, stacks or platforms over 4 feet high, balancing 300 lb. drums on their rims and rolling them into positions, rolling and lifting tires, or stowing cartons or other merchandise overhead that weigh as much as 100 lbs. each.
+ (Pushing/Pulling) Must be able to perform frequent pulling and pushing of freight with or without the help of freight pulling equipment up to 100lbs. Must also be able to push and pull forklift blades, forklift gas tanks, deck bars, and other freight related items.
+ (Hearing/Speaking) Must be able to see parts in and on the forklift mechanical equipment for pre and post inspections. Must be able to hearing the horns of other forklifts and shouted instructions and warnings.
+ (Reaching) Must be able to frequently reach for freight at waist level and occasionally reach for freight above shoulder height or below waist level. Must be able to reach for forklift controls, pushing deck bars, and placing/strapping airbags/straps/cardboard. Must be able to reach while sweeping work areas clean of debris.
+ (Lifting) Must be able to frequently lift and handle objects weighing up to 100 lbs. of varying sizes or shapes, using OSHA guidelines and lifting techniques, distances of 1 foot but usually no less than 100 feet.

+ paying attention to surroundings, including cross-dock traffic, forklift inspections, freight, gates, etc.
+ long-term and short-term memory for inspecting areas, breaking down pallets, carrying products, driving in cross-dock traffic and for safety
+ logic and reasoning in reading manifests, tablets, reading boxes and order numbers
+ Auditory and visual processing to inspect forklifts, driving, reading, listening for horns and/or other cross-dock traffic and speaking with other dock workers. Must be able to see and read bills of lading, tablets for yard management systems, and read printed materials. Must be able to see and scan areas of work for debris and defects.
+ (Other) Must be able to work a variety of times and shifts in order to meet customer pick up and delivery schedules.
+ Ability to work in extremely hot or cold climates, ability to work in an environment where noise and odors may be present.

Trystar's Material Handler position is an important part of Trystar's plan to become the world's foremost custom solution provider.
Under the direction of the Materials Supervisor, the Material Handler will be responsible for helping to execute our Materials team mission of having the right inventory, in the right place, at the right time.

In this role you will get to:
Conduct material transactions according to production schedule and Epicor (ERP) signals.
Read, comprehend, and execute processes and procedures according to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) which are necessary to properly operate equipment and manufacture the product.
Learn to pull, issue, transfer parts within Epicor (ERP).
Learn to use/get certified on various forklifts.
Will be able to read and understand Job travelers & sales orders.
Perform cycle counts.
Clean, restock, and organize the warehouse area.
Perform other projects and duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma
Ability to read instructions, safely operate machines and visually inspect purchased parts
Accuracy and timeliness in completion of work assignments is a must
Strong communications skills
Ability to multitask and set priorities.
Outstanding attention to detail, organizational and coordination abilities
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Must be able to read, write and comprehend plant directives written in English.
Frequent lifting, standing, bending & reaching required.
Able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.
Must adhere to all the PPE requirements to perform the job safely, this includes but is not limited to, Eye, Hand, Feet, and Hearing protection.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Have basic computer skills and accurate data entry experience for receiving and issuing products.
Perform simple mathematics to comprehend and interpret process sheets, SOP manuals, tally sheets, etc. and to keep accurate account of materials used during manufacturing process including scrap amounts.

Job Description
The Cell Packaging Recycling Materials handler supports the ESS production Line by Handling, sorting and preparing battery cell packaging material for recycling. This role is responsible for safely removing packaging from cells, separating usable and non-usable materials and ensuring all recyclable items are placed in the correct collection areas. The Cell Packaging Recycling Materials handler follows standardized work instructions, supports general material movement and maintains a clean and safe work environment to meet daily production and recycling targets.
ESSENTIAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receive and sort materials coming from ESS cell and module teardown.
Separate usable, recyclable, and scrap materials following safety and quality guidelines.
Place materials in correct bins, racks, or lanes for reuse, recycling, or disposal.
Prepare usable components for return to production or storage areas.
Scans Boxes/Pallets at Drop zone when Hi-lo driver brings them
Handle scrap materials safely, including damaged cells or contaminated packaging.
Label and organize materials to maintain clear separation between categories.
Support physical inventory by providing accurate information to leads or supervisors.
Support to Material Specialist / Drop Zone Activities
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area to ensure good material flow.
Follow all EHS requirements, including PPE and safety rules for battery handling.

REQUIREMENTS:
Working Experience in materials / logistics areas
Cycle count experience is preferred
Working Level Knowledge of:
Materials and logistics
Highly Organized and Detail Oriented.
Ability to stand, walk, carry light objects, handle parts, reach with hands and arms, lift, push, and pull materials up to 40-50 lbs regularly.
Ability to Multi-task and work with minimum supervision
Ability to work overtime as business needs dictate.
Ability to travel between manufacturing facilities as required.
Prior experience in warehouse, recycling, teardown, or material handling preferred.
Ability to stand and walk for 8-12 hours per shift.
Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and handling of materials.
Ability to work in areas with moving equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks).
Flexible and capable of adapting to change with the ability to follow work instructions.
Basic knowledge of material identification (good, scrap, recyclable).
Ability to safely handle battery components and packaging materials.
Strong attention to detail to prevent mix-ups or contamination.
Ability to communicate issues clearly to team leads or supervisors.
Basic understanding of safety requirements (PPE, chemical safety, lifting safety).
