SCOPE: Responsible for the movement, storage, and verification of material in accordance with policies and procedures. Perform clerical duties requiring some analysis and the ability to exercise good judgment. May have routine contact with customers, suppliers, and other departments. Will include working with numbers and the operation of simple office machines .e.g., calculator, computer, etc).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Handle a variety of shipping methods (UPS, FedEx, ground carriers, domestic and International) including proper shipping, scheduling, and arrangements for pickups.
* Perform proper packing, wrapping, and preparation of packages and documentation following established shipping procedures.
* Proper handling of material to include but not limited to unloading material from delivery vehicles, verification and receiving of material, proper storage of material, picking material to support production requirements, etc.
* Proper picking of material which may include delivery to a specific location and or line-side storage
* Perform clerical functions in accordance with policies and procedures
* Cycle count process
* Interplant transfers (transfer and ordering process)
* Material shortage reporting
* Warehouse organization, 5S, building/maintaining carts, and racking (to include cleaning)
* Job includes standing, walking, squatting, kneeling, and bending activities, use of ladders to reach storage areas and the ability to lift 40 pounds (materials)
