Re-coupe all areas daily. Ensure that products shipped out and received are not damaged or torn. Count inventory daily, weekly, and at the end of the year as needed. Check water levels on all batteries weekly.
Keep the work area clean, and sanitized, and make sure that trash is taken out before shift change. Report all damages that occur immediately to your Shipping Manager/Shipping Supervisor.

Lift and carry up to 50 pounds for up to 25 feet to heights of 5 feet; exert 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects, reach, squat, stand, walk up to 5 miles per day, climb up stairs, ladders and on equipment while wearing required personal protective equipment as necessary.
Apply proper bundling techniques.
Configure load based on planned route including multiple stops.
Maximize load capacity on trailer without sacrificing safety.
Maintain and safely operate all assigned tools and equipment, including but not limited to tape measure, caliper, hammer, pallet trucks, banding machine, micrometer, beam hooks, plate lifting clamps, forklift, overhead crane and personal protective equipment;

Turner Industries Group, LLC has an opening for a Material Handler to join our Team in the Cantonment, FL area. The material handler will be responsible for the physical receipt, storage, and distribution of production materials. This position will also require involvement in conducting physical inventories and count discrepancy resolution, management of non-conforming materials, and interface with purchasing and production departments regarding material issues.
Qualification Standards:
● High school diploma preferred with a minimum of one year's experience in Materials or Operations
supplemented with OJT.
● Must possess good written and oral communication skills.
● Sound basic math skills.
● Ability to perform job duties with a high degree of accuracy.
● Due to large work areas sometimes involved, must be able to perform job duties with limited direct
supervision.
● Possess working knowledge of standard material receiving and internal distribution practices.
● Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.
● Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace.
Functional Requirements:
Assist with terminal / distribution operations by performing loading and unloading activities
Monitor products transferred to and from tanks, vessels, or pipelines at terminal site
Assist with terminal maintenance duties as needed maintaining equipment in operating condition
Catch samples as per Standard Operating Procedure
Input information into electronic hand-held device which documents Standard Operating Procedure
Load trucks, railcars and unload raw materials from outside suppliers and intra-plant Units.
Track mobile movement & spot railcars and tanker trailers
Assist customers and/or producers with any problems that may arise
Special assignment duties and call out as required
Subject to random DOT drug screening
Compensation:
Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
Physical Involvement:
Employee may be required to do the following: climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level; maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds structures, etc.; reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30 to 100 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying objects, tools, equipment, etc.; standing; sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching/squatting; crawling; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction.
