Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Auto Unloader to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the operations. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and experience working in all weather conditions.
Responsibilities
Ascend ladders, open railcar doors, and set bridge plates for vehicle unloading.
Unloaders are trained to inspect, unload, and bay vehicles.
Safely drive a vehicle off a ramp with varying degrees of elevation and limited clearances.
Unload new vehicles from railcars and drive vehicles to the designated area in the railyard.
Climb ladders to multiple heights to gain entry to train cars.
Lift objects and drive heavy equipment (unloading ramps).
Bending over in confined spaces at times.
Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
Job Requirements:
Wear required PPE
Able to climb ladders on railcars to a height of 16 feet.
Be able to gain entry to the railcars by means of the railcar ladder.
Able to remove bridge plates between railcars at heights of 16 feet.
Able to lift 50 lbs. regularly.
Open and close the end doors of railcars.
Physically able to work on your knees while removing tie-down devices.
Able to work in close quarters.
Work in all weather conditions. Heat, cold, ice, snow, rain, etc.
Available to work any day of the week, including Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays as assigned.
Available to work irregular hours.
Experience
Previous experience working in loading and unloading positions.
Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including cranes and forklifts, is highly desirable.
Knowledge of railroad equipment is a plus.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.

The Material Handler position exists to support production by receiving and/or transporting raw materials and packaging materials to specified areas. The individual will perform general material handling functions using forklift equipment. The environment includes indoor work, with exposure to forklift fumes and spice orders. In addition, individuals must work well with others in a supportive team environment in order to meet material handling quality and quality standards.
Essential Functions:
• Transport raw materials or packaging materials to specified areas for use and return them to their proper locations.
• Receives delivery of raw materials and performs required inventory control transactions.
• Complete and process required inventory control transactions according to company/department standards including scanning and printing tickets with barcode equipment.
• Process return, if excess material, according to department standards. Includes use of inventory management system (SAP) to adjust quantity in system to update inventory.
• Maintain materials in a manner that facilitates FIFO product rotation.
• Transport/store materials to maintain warehouse and/or production areas in a neat and orderly manner.
• Performs daily housekeeping duties in the production and/or warehouse areas including sweeping, collecting trash and collecting damaged product.
• Work with co-workers to insure effective production and/or warehouse operations to meet all material handling performance standards.
• Operate equipment in a safe manner and insure the equipment is in good working order by checking and reporting equipment problems.
• Follow all safety and Good Manufacturing guidelines.
Other Responsibilities:
• Work in other jobs positions under Materials Management as needed.
• Accurately enters information into the time clock to record cost center changes, time in and time out.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Must successfully complete material handling safety courses and obtain OSHA certification
• One year production or warehouse experience preferred
• Forklift experience preferred
• Must be familiar with Microsoft Windows
• Must have the ability to read, write and perform simple math calculations.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and work well with others.
• Must be able to work in a dusty environment with strong odors.
• Must be detail oriented and have the ability to follow established procedures.
• Must have common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral and diagram form.

The Material Handler-Loader is responsible for filling customer orders with tickets or voice by performing the following duties
What your day will look like:
* Fills orders from tickets according to set quotas
* Orders filled manually by walking and use of pallet jack and/or riding jacks
* Identify product by description and quantity then removing product from area and carrying to the staging area
* Check for accuracy in picking
* General housekeeping
* Complete daily powered equipment inspection form
* Reads customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
* Sorts and places materials or items on pallets according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, or product code
* Marks materials with identifying information
* Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed
* Count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to Company standards

Make sure that you print out and match the driver's p.o. number with the Straight Bill of Lading and Purchase order number before loading or unloading freight.
Operate forklift in a safe manner and FIFO daily. First in first out! Use the computer to check Res-Report and print shipping pick tickets for all shipments.
Re-coupe all areas daily. Ensure that products shipped out and received are not damaged or torn. Count inventory daily, weekly, and at the end of the year as needed. Check water levels on all batteries weekly.
Keep the work area clean, and sanitized, and make sure that trash is taken out before shift change. Report all damages that occur immediately to your Shipping Manager/Shipping Supervisor.

Operates cranes to load/unload trailers.
Operates forklift (5k or 10k) to load/unload trailers.
Securing loaded material onto truck and may load and unload materials.
Completes and documents production and quality paperwork; follow shop system data collection procedures.
Performs tasks that include grinding and using an oxy fuel torch.
Maintains work areas in a clean, orderly, and safe manner, including the return of tools and equipment to designated areas.
Assures all machine operation centers are timely loaded with material for production.
Notifies management of product discrepancies, equipment malfunctions and/or personal injuries.
Regular and predictable attendance is required to perform the duties of a Material Handler.
Restocks material.
