Position Overview: As a Wireman 1, you will be responsible for interpreting blueprints for Wayside houses and installing electrical wiring using both power and hand tools. This role may require familiarity with electrical control wiring and control panel assembly. Flexibility to work at different locations based on business needs is essential. The Wireman 1 operates independently and is expected to perform tasks with minimal supervision, demonstrating a high level of skill and reliability in electrical installations. What your day-to-day will look like: * Mechanical and blueprint reading skills * Wire termination * Mount and install hardware required per house * Identify Bill of Material or assembly print issues and work to resolve. * Maintaining a clean and safe work environment according to 5s standard * Wire crimping, crimping, stripping, soldering. * Maintain equipment in proper working order, maintain and improve work area order and cleanliness. * Perform required function using the standard work instructions provided. * Perform work in a safe and healthy manner; ensuring deviations to standard work instructions that will lead to quality, productivity, or safety problems are immediately identified. * Actively participate in or lead cell meetings to understand customer & production needs, quality challenges as well as other key issues. * Identify and communicate ideas to cell leaders that support improving the cell's performance & the elimination of waste. * Use the cell's visual boards as a means for communicating challenges to your cell as well as a vehicle for receiving information on KPI for our cell. * Attend Company meetings as required. * Support other assembly production requirements. * Actively participates in Continuous Improvement meetings as needed. * Attention to detail and safety.
