Job Description:

A day in the life of a Warehouse Management Intern, a fully in-person role at SpartanNash, is never the same. Internship Program Supervisor, License Preferred
Location: Boccardo Reception Center (BRC)
Employment Type: Full Time/Part Time Available
Compensation: $88,000/annual


Program Summary:
Together with the Behavioral Services Director, the Internship Program Supervisor will provide supervision, oversight, and training for interns/trainees. This position has primary responsibility for oversight of the Internship program, including recruitment efforts and placement of Social Work, Marriage Family therapists, Professional Clinical Counselor Practicum Students, and other company-supported interns throughout their placement. This is an interim 6-month position, with options for other opportunities within the agency afterward.




Responsibilities:


· Responsible for marketing and recruitment efforts geared toward Interns. Develops and maintains relationships with various Universities, colleges, and agencies to sustain a pool of Interns.
· Responsible for knowing the requirements and expectations of each placing entity. Responsible for managing agreements/contracts with programs
· Ensures assigned Interns meet all requirements established by their placing entities.
· Maintains a listing of available intern placements within the agency
· Facilitates interviewing, hiring, and training of interns.
· Maintains ongoing relationships with other county agencies, health care facilities, placement centers, and other resources.
· Collaborates with Training Dept to ensure training is provided to all Interns to ensure Interns attain the knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties and functions of their assigned placement.
· Participate in intern/trainee performance evaluations and prepare documentation as required by the schools
· Serve as liaison between HomeFirst and schools, as assigned
· Ensure interns/trainees receive all appropriate and required field placement supervision
· Participate in ongoing quality assurance activities, such as monitoring client care and ensuring compliance with client records and documentation
· Attend program and agency meetings and training as required
· Ensure accurate and timely data entry of information into the HMIS system
· Collaborate with teams within the agency regarding services for clients
· Know and implement agency and program policies and procedures






Minimum Qualifications:
· Master’s degree in a social science field plus at least (2) years of post-degree experience in a behavioral health field
· Registered with the BBS as an ASW, AMFT, APCC
· LCSW, LMFT, LPCC preferred




Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge:
· Demonstrated program leadership and people management skills.
· Good organizational, writing, and time management skills.
· Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of the county, educational, and community-based agencies.
· Demonstrated knowledge of mental health laws and regulations, ethical standards, practice standards, and documentation requirements.
· Ability to interact and communicate both verbally and in writing with universities, other staff, county agencies, other health care, and social services providers, and the public.
· Ability to understand and work with others from diverse cultural backgrounds in a positive manner

POSITION SUMMARY

The Intern Supervisor is responsible for supervising interns that mentor children participating in the Fostering Healthy Futures mentoring and skill-building program. This evidence-based program serves children ages 9 11 who have experienced out-of-home placement due to abuse or neglect or have otherwise experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES). The program combines cognitive-behavioral strategies with activities designed to help children process adverse experiences and develop social-emotional skills in order to improve mental health functioning.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Supervises student interns (mentors) through weekly individual and group supervision, administrative meetings, and review of mentor documentation.
* Facilitates weekly seminar for mentors.
* Reviews group curriculum with the team.
* Participates in clinical meetings with team.
* Works closely with liaisons and referral sources to screen and enroll youth.
* Conducts enrollment visits with youth and families.
* Maintains ongoing outreach to graduate programs; cultivates intern applicant interest and screening; conducts prospective intern/mentor interviews.
* Plans and co-leads 3-day orientation for mentors.
* Provides case management to ensure children's needs are met including visits with youth and families.
* Provides crisis intervention during on-call hours.
* Serves as a liaison with case workers, therapists, and school personnel.
* Coordinates special mentoring events.
* Coordinates program evaluations and completes required paperwork to meet compliance standards.
* Provides emergency back-up transportation to skills groups if needed.
* Remains on-call and available in case of emergencies when students are in the field.
* Supports agency activities related to foster care (e.g., Foster Care Appreciation Dinner, Holiday Foster Care Celebration, Foster Parent Trainings, etc.).
* Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
