Description:
Provides supervision and leadership to the patient care units. Specific functions include: collaborates and supports manager with staff evaluations, patient flow, staff and family education, serves as patient/guest service ambassador and assists with problem solving on tour of duty. Additionally, coordinates staffing and nursing assignments for current and oncoming shift. Participates in hourly rounding and ensures compliance of same. Ensures that services are provided within the philosophy and objectives as well as the policies and procedures of the hospital and Baptist Health South Florida.Qualifications:
Bachelors of Science in Nursing required
• Current Florida RN license.
• 3 years of clinical RN experience in a hospital or Labor & Delivery setting required.

• BLS, ACLS and NRP required.

Degrees: Bachelors Licenses & Certifications: Basic Life Support Neonatal Resuscitation Program Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Registered Nurse Pediatric Advanced Life Support Additional Qualifications: Bachelors of Science in Nursing , BSN. RNs hired prior to 2/2012 are not required to have a BSN to continue in their non-leadership role as an RN. RNs hired after 2/2012 with an Associates Degree have 3 years to complete the BSN. BLS for healthcare providers ACLS, PALS, or NRP as required by unit assignment within 6 months of promotion or hire. Certification in area of specialty within 2 years of signing, promotion or hire. - Must have intermediate level of personal computer skills in a "Windows" environment, spreadsheet, database, and word processing applications.
- Must be able to process a high volume of work under stringent production time frames.
- Must have good writing skills, strong analytic and financial assessment abilities and be attentive to detail.
- Must be able to work as a team player.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates degree in a business or accounting function, or the equivalent is preferred.
- 1 year of professional experience working with insurance contracts preferred.
- 1+ year of cash application experience with remit posting, reconciling remit positing and bank deposit, working with applied cash variances and resolution, cash management within EPIC.
