Currently, Helio Health is looking to hire a School Based Mental Health Counselor (Counselor II) to work in a Full-Time capacity for the Fabius-Pompey School District. The Mental Health Counselor work with students by providing a variety of mental health needs, including anxiety, depression, attention issues, problematic behaviors, trauma, substance use issues, issues with family and interpersonal functioning, and more.
This position is a Full-Time, Permanent position with Helio Health. When school is not in session, counselors will be providing services at our Child & Adolescent Clinic as part of our Outpatient program.

Responsibilities:
Promotes culturally responsive social and emotional wellness for all clients.
Perform essential counseling responsibilities including screening, intake and orientation, evaluation and intervention, treatment planning, referrals, crisis intervention, counseling, patient education, case management, reporting and record keeping.
Relate effectively with staff, patients, and professional community while upholding appropriate standards of confidentiality.
Qualifications:
Qualified Health Professional (LMSW, LCSW, LMHC or equivalent licensure or permit eligible)
Master's Degree required.
Two years employment experience in the Human Services field preferred.

* Uses Universal Precautions with all encounters. Knows and follows procedure for handling occurrences involving exposure to blood or other body fluid.
