In 1965 community leaders once again saw a need to expand, modernize, and relocate the Center in order to keep pace with the growth and geographic movement of the Jewish population.
The new Center opened in 1967 and again the JCC was at the core of Jewish life in Worcester.
In 1971, the Center moved to its current location on SW Capitol Highway and has expanded immensely over the years.
The building’s name was changed to the Mittleman Jewish Community Center in 1976 to honor Helen Rena Mittleman following a significant donation from member Harry Mittleman.
In 1980 a partnership of the Osher Marin JCC, Congregation Rodef Sholom, and Brandeis Marin Day School was created to develop a Marin Jewish Community Campus, one of the first of its kind in North America.
The new campus opened in 1991 with a 60,000 square foot state-of-the-art JCC.
Opened in 1996, the indoor regulation swimming pool, health and fitness center, and state-of-the-art early childhood education wings are proud additions that contribute to the overall growth and success of our center.
In 2003, the Sportsplex was created for indoor soccer and gymnastics.
